It is situated on the A47 road, about 15 miles (25 km) west of the city of Norwich and 25 miles (40 km) east of King's Lynn. The civil parish has an area of 21.51 km (8.31 sq mi) and in the 2001 census had a population of 15,659 in 6,941 households, the population at the 2011 Census increasing to 18,609. For the purposes of local government, Dereham falls within, and is the centre of administration for, the district of Breckland. The town should not be confused with the Norfolk village of West Dereham, which lies about 25 miles (40 km) away.

We booked a table with friends for lunch. The restaurant was very pleasant with lovely staff. I ordered the steak pie and mash with veg and my husband ordered the burger and fries. My husbands burger was cooked to perfection and he really enjoyed it. My steak pie was tasty but the crust was hard and inedible to eat. I think it was put in the microwave for too long. I did tell the waitress to pass on my comments. Apart from that we really enjoyed it and will be back.I really not sure how to respond to this as I'm thrilled you left us a 4 star review but I can assure you our pies are handmade and cooked thru the oven, sorry if on this occasion you found the pastry too hard.We hope you will come and try us againKind regardsVikki

Driven past this pub loads of times but never been in until now. Weâve definitely been missing out! Lovely place, very friendly staff, good menu with a good vegetarian option. Good old fashioned traditional pub with an up to date menu.Make sure you leave room for the salted caramel cheesecake. Mmmmmm.Definitely recommended and will most definitely be back.Thank you for your review, so glad you finally came in after passing us loads of times. Our Salted caramel cheesecake has definitely gone done a treat and been popular. We look forward to seeing you again in the near future.

We have a great choice of Chinese home deliveries but not Indian , so this was a surprise we decided to try. Ordered chicken tikka, naan, rice and sauces. It came quickly and hot and really well cooked, it was lovely. The meal deals are fantastic value. Hoping the next is as good.
