Takdir is an absolute gem in the thriving food scene in Whitley Bay. Gorgeous venue with cracking views, excellent selection of drinks (including 2 for £10 cocktails), attentive and friendly service, good value and above all delicious, freshly made excellent quality food. Well worth a visit.

Booked a table here in July for lunch only to be told they no longer accept Groupon Vouchers which we'd already paid for and was redeemable until oct 2019. Very disappointed we were turned away as we were really looking forward to trying it. Wouldn't recommend for this reason!We are sorry Jayne that your Groupon Voucher was no longer valid. We did inform the company that we were no longer accepting the vouchers. We never turn anyone away at The Bake One, Gosforth, we simply weren't able to accept the voucher. We are very sorry that this was disappointing for you. However, if you contact us we willi be able to make arrangements for you to book a table and give you the opportunity to try some of our great food. Had a lovely lunch for two. Mrs has vine leaves followed by meat balls from set menu. I had Saslik and no starter. The Saslik was really tasty. Very tender good quality meat perfectly cooked. All the food was lovely. Washed down with Efes beer. Service was friendly but unobtrusive. Nice decor and reasonable prices. I suspect we will return soon for dinner.

My family and I have eaten here several times over the past few years and always found the portions plentiful and food flavoursome. Itâs never been cheap, but previously justified against the quality of the food, good service and decent portions. We ate here last night and was very disappointed. The menu is now very overpriced and portions are very small. I ordered the lamb skewer (£17) and 4 small pieces of lamb arrived along with a tiny portion of rice? The lamb was also very tough. I certainly didnât think it was worth £17. My family ordered a variety of other main meals and all commented that they were not as flavoursome as previous meals and smaller. The service was a little slow and we were waiting on drinks for quite a while. Iâm not sure weâll be back here, which is such a shame as we previously ate here regularly. We might have given them another try, but the prices are just too high now for what you get.

First visit to this little gem of a place around a month ago. Ordered chicken korma, tikka masala, egg pilau, sweetcorn pilau and garlic naan. Everything was fully-flavoured , well cooked and delicious. The garlic naan was superb and had so much garlic on I was worried about work the next day lol. The take-away seems immaculate cleanliness wise, just be careful of one of the sofas in the waiting area, I nearly broke my back as you sink almost to the floor as the seat part seems to be broken - they really need to take it to the skip! Went back last week, hubby had chicken korma pizza of which I pinched a piece (as you do!). Wow, just wow. Iâm having that next time! I had the butter chicken which was nice but maybe a tad bland. I have tasted better elsewhere. On the whole though a fab place which has just become my favourite go-to place for takeaway food!

We stopped off on a Friday teatime, we managed to get a table, however it quickly filled up.We opted for crispy sweet chilli beef which we asked for an extra sweet chilli dip, which came with no hassle. Also pepper jack cheese and mushroom chicken. Both dishes arrived piping hot and delicious.Staff were very friendly as always.Hi Trotskys, we are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience!

I was in a party of 7 people and being a big party was not an issue. 4 of us had prawns for starters and they where the biggest prawns I have ever see and where cooked so well they where moist and soft with a crunchy southern coating 10/10. For mains I had ribs and wings combo with chips and a side of Mac and cheese again lovely food, 2 of the party had pizzas cooked in a wood fire oven and tasted amazing. I could not resist a brownie for dessert and it was very good and gooey in the middle. I will definitely be returning very soon.

Ordered fish and chips, steak and chips, kids ordered chips and chicken nuggets and spaghetti. Every meal was a massive portion and top quality, beautifully presented and very good service! They have a new menu which was much better but also have a 2 meals for £10 Which is brilliant value, our meal and 2 coke's with a wine 2 beers and a cuppa came to just over £46 Which i thought was brilliant value!
