Coatbridge (Scots: Cotbrig or Coatbrig, Scottish Gaelic: Drochaid a' Chòta) is a town in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, about 8.5 miles (13.7 km) east of Glasgow city centre, set in the central Lowlands. The town, with neighbouring Airdrie, is part of the Greater Glasgow urban area. While the earliest known settlement of the area dates back to the Stone Age era, the founding of the town can be traced to the 12th century, when a Royal Charter was granted to the monks of Newbattle Abbey by King Malcolm IV. Gift form family for wedding anniversary dinner. Food was delicious and all staff were so pleasant and professional. Only little issue was the tables. We had a table for two and when sitting on the outside seat thereâs very little room between chairs and got bumped every time someone passed.

Fancied trying something different so took a trip from Edinburgh for this place - certainly wasnât disappointed!The staff are kind and helpful, service was good too. The food arrived in about 15 mins or so. I went for one of their âsuper burgersâ, the stacked beef burger and a side of poutine chips - both really nice. Was too full to have dessert - maybe next time. Wouldnât hesitate going back!
