My friend and I were desperately hoping for a table for two sort of last minute on our last day in Portugal- We snagged one at 9pm by calling around 5pm on a Tuesday which was perfect- we walked up a very quaint part of town and found this little unassuming white door- that was it! As big as a large hall closet, this 22 seat restaurant was just the coziest place! The husband and wife operation have been open for 3 years- they greeted us with some complimentary delicious moscatel, which was delicious- we had the saw cheese and sautéed mushrooms to start, both of which were delicious- we then got the seafood cuttlefish ink pasta and the seafood rice- both were just the freshest seafood you could imagine- not at all a fussy preparation, just incredible ingredients with one huge oyster, and two perfect prawns, mussels, clams and a handful of these mini clams which were delightful- the pasta was out of this world, and it was really only coated in the mild seafood broth- he didnât offer a wine menu, but asked what we liked, and produced an amazing Syrah which we were thrilled with - he ended our meal with some lovely port on the house as well- all in all, a great way to cap off a trip to Portugal in true form- they only take cash, but there are several atms on the larger street nearby- enjoy!

Just two visits so far but the food is really good ! And the prices are very reasonable. This makes the place always busy, the food very fresh because of the turnover ... so there success is guaranteed. If they keep up the good work this will be a place that we recommend to our guests when we open our hotel 1 km away from this restaurant. Maybe it is the "3", Villa 3 Caparica will recommend Os 3 Reis :).The food, the ambience it is really tipical portuguese. It is about the food and nothing else ! Love it !

This is an expensive place, but the food doesnât disappoint. Amerijoas Espanol (Spanish style clams) started our lunch. Fresh clams in an onion-tomato broth that you pick from, garlic overtones. The Linguado grelhado (Grilled sole) was nicely blackened, with roe, and filleted at our request. The star of the show was Filetes de Lagosta com arroz de Gambas (Lobster fillet with shrimp rice) - even though the name doesnât correctly describe it. This was a prawn-rice broth in a tomato base, seasoned nicely, with four handsome lobster tails, lightly batter fried, served separately. Best shared. Lunch for three was ⬠95. That included the breads, butter and fish pate they keep at your table - charging them is local practice, should you be unaware.
