Our tour bus made a stop here for lunch after leaving Liechtenstein--and so did a lot of other tour coaches. The restaurant was very crowded, with seating difficult to find.Along with souvenirs galore, there was a vast area of food offered, both hot and cold. You placed your selections on a tray, and then queued up to pay. My spouse and I found the offerings very expensive, but then so are most eateries in Switzerland. I had a slice of margherita foccacia; he had a salami baguette. Both were of average quality. We decided to drink tap water rather than pay the ridiculous prices for drinks.After lunch, our tour leader had us gather outside to watch a wooden Heidi, Peter, and Heidi's goat come out of a tower while music played, much like figures coming out of a clock. Too hokey for words........As the title of my review states, this place is on the tourist trail.

Service: 10/10Atmosphere: 9/10Furniture: 8/10Cleanliness: 10/10Welcoming: 9/10Taste: 10/10First Swiss cuisine experience, and I was very fortunate to experience the wonderful establishment of Heidihof. The drive way to the restaurant is a bit tight though, however, it is really worth a visit. Dish: Sirloin steak with French fries and vegetables.

We asked the waitress for English menu but she rudely said âNo, only in Germanâ. As we donât read German so we have to ask what are in the menu. We asked her what they serve and she coldly said âwaitâ coz there was only ONE waitress serving the whole restaurant and she was extremely occupied. While we were waiting as per her instruction, she passed by million times with water, dishes, bill for other guests but didnât attend us at all.
