Hubby and I called here twice over the Abergavenny Food Festival. Firstly on the Friday night we called for an evening meal. The pub was quite busy but staff still had time to make us welcome. Hubby enjoyed the catch of the day - haddock. And I had a burger, which was lovely. They were big meals and either of us could finish them unfortunately!We called again on the Sunday evening supposedly for a last drink before heading back to our rental property. But the landlord was running a quiz so we decided to join in. We were âhim and herâ. We really enjoyed ourselves and will certainly call back next year if we can sort out a rental property.

My husband and I visited last week with our dog Rocky and could not believe how cheap it was. The cocktails are 2 for 1 between 5 and 9 pm and only £5!!! Sam and her team were so helpful and friendly they made us feel like part of the family. The food was amazing home cooked and a big portion. Thank you Sam and team we will be back!

Since new ownership this pub has been transformed, the food is first class, an excellent choice of beers available, superb attitude from the staff. Well worth a visit when in town. Overall 5*
