Discover Restaurants offering the best Greek food in Mannheim, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. Baden-Wurttemberg’s second-largest city after Stuttgart, Mannheim lies at the confluence of the Rhine and Neckar Rivers and is rare among German cities for its layout, a grid pattern (or “quadrates”) similar to those found in North America. The grid was originally plotted in 1606 and emanated from Friedrichsburg fortress, which later became the site of Mannheim Palace. Today, it partly houses the University of Mannheim. The city’s iconic water tower and its beautiful Luisenpark are must-sees.

Central location but very very small place. Itâs like a to-go souvlaki in perfect Greek style. Good alternative to döner. Open till late night!

The food is excellent, and the people very friendly. Situated next to the Rhein, the atmosphere is rather idyllic. At least in the summer, they offer some imaginative cocktails based on ouzo; try one and you will not be disappointed (this is coming from someone who truly does not enjoy drinking ouzo). We had lamb and beef, and the meat was delicious. If you have a sweet tooth, try the "galaktompoureko" at the end. The wine list offers some truly excellent Greek wines.

Greek food in a nice setting the staff were friendly and the table set with a crisp white tablecloth. The starters were very good as were the main courses. All the usual Greek dishes available. They serve great retsina. A little bit more upmarket and more expensive than the average Greek restaurant but a nice evening out. Bussy bookings needed â¬â¬

Hermes grill is our favorite restaurant in Germany. We visited it again after 13 years being away and the food is still the best!!
