We found LAYLAS via Trip Advisor, glad we did. Had. falafel, chicken gyro, goat plate. Soft pita, wonderful tzatziki and hummus. Good prices, fast. Since we were traveling with a dog we did not go in to eat, did take away. I lived in Israel, I onow my way around a pita! If we lived here I would be there often. Anyone at LAYLAS wanna open up in Upstate NY? Vermont? Please???

A search for a cool place to eat a very late lunch turned into a scrumptious early dinner - away from the Chenal area when the electricity went out big-time on a warm Saturday mid-afternoon. Weâd never tried Istanbul, not when it was in Market Place, closer to our home, or here, off Cantrell. Inauspicious setting, small and cozy (cool!) with nicely varied menu. Hubby tried lamb shish kebob entree - delicious with basmati rice and salad. And the donor platter I had was piled with perfectly seasoned meat (the lamb/beef combination cooked vertically - like for a gyro) - tasty by itself but donât pass up the sauce! The grilled veggies were good and the salad fresh. Waitress was wonderful - knowledgeable and helpful. Canât wait to return to try other things. We realized how much we like this kind of food and donât eat it often enough. Wish they served wine at dinner - no alcohol. Wonder if you could bring your own?? Outdoor seating also. Childrenâs menu too and high chair available. Highly recommend.
