For a warm welcome, good food and being made to feel more than just a number you can't beat this place, if you are in Katelios you must pay Sadie and Illias a vis.
Our third holiday to katelios and the katelios taverna is still one of favourite restaurants. Good choice of traditional Greek dishes, as well as the usual 'International menu' choices - we stick to the traditional dishes as they are so good. The staff are welcoming, friendly and even during busy service, nothing is too much trouble. Reasonably priced delicious food, lovely setting and delightful staff

Many tavernas claim to do the "best" moussaka, that's quite a statement.Maria's didn't but the moussaka here was incredible.Perfect balance of ingredients and seasoning, not overwhelmed with too much potato or bechamel sauce and served in a generous portion.Accompanied by a tomato salad it was a perfect dinner in a charming setting with warm hearted service.Lovely.â¤

Had a great lunch here during our recent holiday in Kefalonia. Would definitely recommend getting here using proper roads. We followed our sat nav and had some rather interesting âoff roadâ experiences! Food was lovely, big portions and the view was just stunning.

We first visited Katelios in 2001, and then returned in 2002 & 2003. We discovered Jerryâs Ellinko on our second day of our first trip and the ate there everyday, of every holiday from then on! The restaurant was on the beach at that time and was absolutely fabulous. Jerry introduced us to Metaxa and then had to give us a ride back to the apartments when we discovered our legs would no longer work!We are back in Kefalonia this week for the first time since 2003, staying at Apostolata and decided to take a Taxi back to Katelios to see how it had changed over the years. In fact, very little was different, a couple of new apartments and a hotel, and many of the tavernas on the front had been spruced up and looked very smart. The biggest change was Elliniko has now moved 500m from the Beach to the High Street. Itâs hard to spot from the road, but when you enter through the giant palm fronds itâs a beautifully cool and inviting place with high ceilings, a really airy feel to the place. A couple of cold Mythos and a Club Sandwich went down very well, the menu was extensive and well thought out, plenty to tempt you!We were the only customers in the restaurant at the time, understandable at midday on Saturday, but there was still a chef in the Kitchen and the food was freshly cooked. We had hoped to catch up with Jerry to say hello but he understandably wasnât going to be there until the evening. Maybe next time Jerry! Stin ygeiá sas!Hello Chris,Thank you so much to share this lovely story with us. Jerry would have pleased to see you again. Maybe in the future you will stay in Katelios again and he might see you.Take Care.Best Regards,Jerry, Maaike & the Elliniko Team.

We booked a table and glad we did as this place is very popular. This is a special place and we went here for our wedding anniversary, We asked for a table with a view and we certainly got that, we were placed looking out to sea. They have great taste in decor and use beautiful glasses, decanters and plates. The food was delicious and the house red was good. The staff are very friendly and very efficient. They knew it was our wedding anniversary and brought us a delicious dessert with a candle which we thought was a lovely gesture. We arrived in a taxi but they wouldn't drive up to Anemos because the road is quite bad so we walked the last 5 minutes or so.We got this taverna to order a taxi back to our hotel and they insisted in getting a taxi that did drive along this bad road. We thank you for making our anniversary very special and look forward to coming back next year.

Tsobos Garden Grill House is simply the best Grill House in Katelios. Come and join us in a very friendly environment where you can enjoy the best meals in Katelios!
We've stayed on Katelios on numerous occasions but up until now we have never visited Tsobos. After visiting on our latest visit, I am really wondering why! The service was excellent, the food was delivered quickly and most importantly extremely tasty. We had a gyros plate and a sausage plate, both very generous and for 8⬠incredibly good value for money. Yes, we know it's not the healthiest option but it just has to be done! We enjoyed our first visit so much we visited twice during our two week stay. Well worth a visit!
