Keifer's is a popular Mediterranean restaurant serving Jackson, MS since 1980. We serve hot pita wraps, hummus, felafel, salads, homemade creamy feta dressing, and the best gyro in the country as seen on the Food Network!
We were attracted by the Greek gyros on the menu and they did not disappoint. We found the recommendation for Keifer's in the Mississippi Official Tour Guide Book. They had a large parking lot at lunchtime which was virtually full, indicating its popularity.with the locals. The menu had a wide selection of Mediterranean items, nearly all of which were served with soft, fresh pita bread. We chose a table on the porch on a sunny spring day and were seated immediately. We ordered a gyro for each of us and a cottage fried potato (a whole potato thinly sliced vertically and fried) to share. My husband also loved the side order of Kalamata olives. Service was quick and the outdoor dining in May was a treat. In all, it was a special stop on our four day trip through Alabama and Mississippi - a wonderful memory.

My husband and I love this place... their hummus is great, the mint tea, beef shawarma, and the tabouli are good too. Yum yum.

Speedy service, even with a fairly long line and call in orders, and everyone was friendly on the line, too. Great tzatziki sauce. Wasn't sure what cottage fries were (basically imagine a potato sliced like bread and then fried), but they were pretty good and servings are perfect for lunch portions. Gyro was very good, and wrapped up to keep me from becoming a mess, which I really appreciated. Quick, friendly, and kept level heads even when a customer was complicating their order.
Went for lunch on the referral of a friend.. The food was great and huge. We should not have finished the plates but it was to good not to .. Philly cheese steak sandwich and gyro. Two thumbs up!!!
