Kouroumpelo may commenced as a student meeting point with attractive for students prices but on the way became a meeting point for all generations. Nice traditional Greek dishes , stong in tasty , not very expensive. Very friendly.

This is cooking honest, traditional, delicious greek food.Trey really know how to do it, and they do it right (Don't tell my yiayia, but their dolmathakia, made-from-scratch stuffed vine leaves, are better than hers). They did not have a menu in english when we went, but all waiters were speaking english and were ready to explain everything to my british friends. The restaurant was packed with local families but service was fast and servers kind and smiling.

Food as always is delicious or maybe more than delicious !!!Prices absolutely reasonable and if the weather allows it, the lunch outside it much better. The interior is perfect !

We stopped at Nostos Tavern for a late lunch. Nostos is more a Meze (appetiser) style restaurant albeit with large portion sizes with a focus on fish dishes. Some dishes on the menu werenât available. The panoramic view across the port, with sea breezes to cool one down on a hot day is valuable. Service was okay but neither warm nor attentive.

La Bussola is located at the right end of the harbor ( right when looking towards the sea), close to the Chandris Hotel. It is actually next to a busy road. It is an Italian Restaurant serving pizzas and pasta dishes but their meat dishes, served with French fries and basmati rice are also very good. The portions are quite big and the prices are reasonable. Half a liter of house wine was about 5 Euros. Service was efficient while we were there. This place is popular with Greeks as well as tourists.

Chios is not famous for food and restaurants and Hotzas makes the difference. Access nor parking is easy, and the owner not very commercial or polite but food is really amazing. We strongly recommend for people who like Turkish cuisine. If the owners had taken better care of the place and the surroundings would rate it higher.

I have tried their bougatsas in the morning - kasseri and fetta cheese as well as the sweet one with cream. All really fresh and delicious. Tried also some sweets and ice cream. Also highly recommended, especially their ice cream which as we have been told is made by them. They also have a great variety of savory and sweet waffles and pancakes to select from.The place is also very clean and nicely decorated.
