Very nice place to eat good fish - soup or the main dish - in a friendly atmosphere with very helpful friendly smiling staff, who are flexible enough to modify the dish if needed - for example for a vegetarian; a bit on the expensive side, specially when they impose bottled-water if you want water. But overall, well done, and we will go there again.

We found that Wismar, while smaller compared to other major cities in Northern Germany, is perhaps the most charming old towns in Northern Germany. Wismarâs old town is more compact than Rostockâs, Schewerinâs, and much lovelier than the old towns of Hamburg, Hannover, and Bremen. I think the comparable old town to Wismar may be the one in Stralsund. With many majestic Hanseatic heritage buildings in a compact area with lovely shops and cafes we highly recommend to visit Wismar.

Service was friendly with a heart-at-the-right-spot gruff-charm attitude. Reservation advisable because we only got one end of a large table since all other tables were reserved already. Food was well prepared and ample portions. Excellent steak, tasty fried potatoes. The salad is weird, like it is everywhere in Germany: a bit of lettuce and lots of pickled cabbage. Overall really nice experience. Sun hits the tables in the afternoon, outside across the church square.

Whilst walking in Wismar we came upon the market square and decied to stop here for a drink. It is a great spot to sit out and watch the world go by (there is an inside too) . It also gives a great view of the square too. We decided to sit outside and have a drink and I found the prices reasonable ( a wine was â¬4.5 and a 1/2 liter beer â¬4.00). We did not eat but I did look at the menu and it looked good and again reasonable. This building is one of the older burgher houses in Wismar dating back to 1380! It has an interesting brick facade with lots of windows. definately worth a visit.

Had been here before some years ago and liked the restaurant. Arrived after 8 pm, it was a busy weekend but we were lucky enough to be quickly seated. Reasonable waiting time for a tasty fried plaice (Scholle). Two satisfying main courses and a carafe of nice Riesling for less than 50⬠was good value for money. Would definitely visit again.

A modern small restaurant without "Schnickschnack" in a historical city (UNESCO world heritage) at the Baltic sea in Northeast Germany; well arranged ingredients, great taste, charming young service personnel; taste the excellent German (bio) wines; another highlight are the deserts and cakes, homemade by the "Meister Konditor".......For sure the best restaurant in Wismar and beyond, where you get "value for money"

We had a very nice dinner here while staying in Wismar. Restaurant is cute, cozy and romantic. Service is excellent and food was fine. Looks like a little mom and pop operation with mom in the dining room.

We had a three course menu with wine. This was a good choise, as it turned out to be a very nice meal indeed, with a perfect selection of wine. Our waiter gave us the best service. Professional and friendly. And the bill? Very acceptable. We are definately coming back to eat here!
