My cousin and I went for dinner at the end of the summer season. The restaurant was quite full. Whilst our dinner order was slow to come to our table, the service was attentive. The wait was worth while. Delicious meals for both of us. The chanterelles were cooked very nicely (not too much cream) and the pork loin was delicious. My only complaint is that when I asked for diet coke, I got a non-brand coke copy (I'm fussy like that!) Well worth a visit, and probably the best restaurant in this small town.

Sometimes surprises are waiting for you off the beaten track!Only a couple of minutes away from the more tourist-y places in the harbour of Carolinensiel, the restaurant "Sandbank" is a bit hidden on the grounds of the Hotel Hinrichs. We had dinner at " Sandbank" four times, as we booked our room at the hotel with demi-board.What a marvellous choice! The three course meal for a little more than 20 Euros includes some nice starter (soup or salad), a main course (choice of fish, meat or vegetarian) and a dessert. Everything we tried during our stay was delicious and prepared to perfection. Also the other meals from the á la carte part of the menu looked very dainty. The size of the dished is voluptous and you will definately not leave being hungry. For me, it is a complete miracle how the kitchen crew manages to cater the crowd of about 35 people from a tiny, tiny kitchen and offer food of this quality at such a low price! Amazing! The service is extremely enjoyable - everybody was so nice and helpful, I had a couple of special requests which were fulfilled 100 %. Furthermore, people really care about their guests and you will feel "at home" in an instant - special thanks go to Mr. Schmid and his marvellous team! The interior is lovingly decorated and features some nice nautical elements. The chairs and benches are comfortable, but avoid the tables right next to the door as people get in and out rather frequently. So take a walk on the tasty side and enjoy your evening at "Sandbank"!

This restaurant was so good that we went twice in a week! Their fish is absolutely outstanding. They also catered to our needs when we had to select a dish for our seven-year old who has dietary restrictions. This restaurant is worth a trip to Jever!

This family owned restaurant, my spouse and I came upon while exploring the fishing village of Hooksiel. We became hook to Hooksiel ever since. We wandered into this restaurant for supper one evening in the fall. We were welcomed in and seated into the quaint and intimate space where we sat by table light and reviewed the menu. The menu is cater to local catch and food in season. Please pardon my failure to document the meals we had; but to me honest I don't believe all the dishes will be the same. Well, except for the potato (lol). My husband fried cod and I had a drilled fish suggested by the owner. The entree were served with house salad and potato. We topped it off with beer and Jägermeister. The food was superb. It will be a must visit we return.

On a late, rainy evening in October the restaurant "Leuchtfeuerâ was our âLighthouseâ. It was well attended this evening, but in the cultivation room a table for us was still available. The âLeuchtfeuerâ is a well frequented location, fully occupied on Sunday at about 21:00. The ambience is perfect in the cozy dining room; in the cultivation rooms it was a bit too bright for us, very creatively furnished indeed, but also quite a little bit chilly. But the service was quick, cheerful and very dedicated. Some different types of beer on tap â but we had to wait quite long for the second helping - and delicious regional cuisine, quite well prepared. The âLeuchtfeuerâ could - perhaps - be a little bit cozier.

Just average is all we can say about Waterkant, Nothing extra ordinary. Prices are standard for the area.

Ja!!!

My husband and I visited this Restaurant twice during our stay in Carolinensiel. Once with 4 people as our guests and another time with one person as our guest. The menu was varied and the meals we chose were tasty, hot, and well presented. It was also within walking distance of our Holiday House. The atmosphere was great and, as a sidenote, the toilets were spotless.

Very nice restaurant. We had Schnitzel and Königsberger Klopse. Both was great and service was also very good. Price was ok. We been there with our baby in a stroller which was no problem. They also have a room to change diapers.
