Went there for Christmas lunch and the place wasn't crowded but still busy. It took the waiters a while to take the orders, as they were really not organized, but it's forgivable, that day. What was disappointing, we ordered Filet Steak and they brought us sirloin. We made them aware, and the only thing was:" Oops, sorry, the chef run out of Filet yesterday"... this implies they knew hat before for sure and could have told us before ordering. We didn't get any discount, just a shot of grappa as apology (we don't drink alkohol)

We found this basement restaurant walking from the Hotel Senoner to the center of town. A simple, friendly cafe with variable hours (we were there off-season) depending on business. The food was local South Tyrol specialties, served in ample portions. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. We enjoyed it so much that we returned a second night, something we rarely do. Excellent!

A mixed experience for the two of us. We were referred here by a similar establishment which was closed. We arrived slightly after 12 pm and the place was pretty full. The server was pretty terse with us saying there were no tables and come back in an hour. A group of 4 locals appeared within seconds of us and went into a separate room put together some tables and sat down. We found a free table outside near the road. We went back inside and she told us she wouldn't serve us for at least an hour. Hmmm. Treat the tourists different than the locals. We did return later in the day for dinner to check it out. Dinner was average. The newer server was much friendlier and the place was full of locals having dinner and/or drinks. We won't be back.

Nice and elegant restaurant, but in a dark location on the side outside of the freeway. Food is well prepared, very rich and at the end of good quality. They lack of service: we asked for two glasses of wine (a Sauvignon Blank and a Pinot Noir) and they did not show the bottle or at least say the name of the producers. The waiters do not talk and do not describe the dishes so you risk to receive a bad surprise: that is what happened when we ordered a desert that was supposed to be balls of ricotta filled with gianduia chocolate on a bed of vanilla cream: we expected a nice, cold desert after a rich menu to refresh our mouths and came out to be a warm desert not appealing at all that we did not eat. We said the waiter our disappointment and he answered just that the desert is what it is, without offering any apology or proposing a different desert. We asked information about another desert and he said nothing else but the name written in the menu. This is disappointing. Too bed because we enjoyed the first time here, but not this one, and we are very sorryâ¦..

Set on a mountainside overlooking valleys and mountains this quirky restaurant served amazing food by the owners who were a delight. The dumplings (cheese; spinach) were delicious and the main course coasted of a hamburger, veal, beef, etc. - all from the farm. The local beer was light and refreshing and the house whit and red wines were very drinkable. Highly recommended.

The landscape and surrounding deserve a visit. It is good as many others for the food, but the position close to the novacella abbey and brixen deserve a good vote
