OK room, good shower but no tea making fascilities. Breakfast was OK not brilliant for choice and dinner was equally so with a rushed service. Service was a bit pre-emptory that we decided not to eat there a second evening and found somewhere much better and nicer in Passau.

Local craft brews mixed with italiano . The beer is excellent, the decor adequate and confortable. The wood fired pizza was good but could have a been a little more crusty. Nice views of the fields around and no problems with parking. Staff friendly and service quick.

fromthe famous city Passau just 10 minutes by car, is the Naturhotel Gidibauer Hof. Is´s very quiet and surrounded by the Bavarian forest but also near the city Hauzenberg (500 m) Our Hotel is famous for its cuisine and our historic building with very com
The most fabulous bedroom, on two levels, in the most fabulous setting. And a fine dinner to boot. The only tiny downside was that they were hosting a celebratory dinner in the Dining Room, with the result that the overnight guests were demoted to the Breakfast Room for the evening. But it was no great hardship, and breakfast the next morning on the sun-filled terrace was a delight! And all for £52 a head!

We spontaneously drove over on the Saturday Easter weekend and stayed 2 nights. The restaurant was always busy, food and service excellent. We had the zanderfillet and it was one of the best grilled fish dishes I have ever had in Germany. The Donauwelle cake was a little different from what I normally had but it was still heavenly. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The restaurant had a good atmosphere, good lighting and attention to detail. The lady who ran the place was friendly and very accommodating. The room was a good size, unfortunately it seemed that the guest rooms do not face the river. The door to the bathroom/WC was a glass one. If one of the sleeping parties is a light sleeper, the light from the bathroom could be a problem in the middle of the night. The bed creaked but otherwise, everything was in excellent condition. The bathroom was very new. Unless you are looking for nightlife and a town in which to walk through in the evening, the location - right on the river, quiet, close and easy access to wonderful hiking trails - is perfect.
