Despite reviews that suggested otherwise, we found the service to be prompt and very attentive. The inside dining area was very nicely furnished and the meals that we ordered, pork knuckle and schnitzel, very tasty and filling. It was a most pleasant experience unlike that provided by the hotel.

In der Herbstsonne auf der kleinen hübschen Terasse sitzend, mit Blick auf die hohen Bäume unterhalb des Torgauer Schlosses, haben wir Bauernfrühstück und Pfifferlinge mit Bandnudeln genossen und waren sehr zufrieden.Freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Wirklich gut zubereitete Speisen. Und ein schönes Ambiente, auÃen wie innen (Richtung dezenter Shabby Chic).Zum Abschluss noch ein Eis in der Waffel auf die Hand mitgenommen. Das war oberlecker mit Walnuss und Schokostückchen, kein einfaches normales Eis, sondern schon besonders angereichert mit Leckereien. :-)

Gute Hausmannskost, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Alles recht durchschnittlich. Abzug leider für den penetranten Fettgestank im Gastraum, der sich lange in unsere Sachen eingenistet hat.

Há pouquÃssimos restaurantes ou locais pra comer em Torgau, e este era o único aberto e com certo movimento lá.à uma lanchonete, capitaneada pela gentil Dona Caterina, que serve basicamente frituras e salsichas.Há dois ambientes externos e três internos, é um ponto de encontro de todas as gerações na pequena cidade, mas comida de qualidade mesmo não tem, é mais pra lanche...

Nach einer Bestellung eines Tisches haben wir ein Abendessen zu uns genommen.Freundliche Kellner wiesen uns ein und wir konnten dann unser Essen was unseren Vorstellungen weit Ãbertraff geniesen.Möchte hier nochmal jeden dieses Hervorragende Lokal empfehlen.Das Essen war an Reichlichkeit und Geschmack nicht zu Ãbertreffen.

This restaurant overlooks the river (if you peer past a few elevated cycle paths and bridge footings), at the base of the castle and just round the corner from the monument to the meeting of the Allied armies. It's also a stone's throw from the Villeroy & Boch factory outlet. Being in such a prime tourist location we thought we'd be paying for the privilege, but the prices were reasonable and the food good with a variety of salads and other light meals as well as the usual schnitzels, etc. There's an outside seating area as well as tables inside. Service was efficient and reasonably friendly.

My friend and I went there for lunch. The high number of local cars already indicated a good quality location. We sat outside under the shady trees. The service was very kind and friendly. The prices are moderate. We both ordered a chanterelle dish. The food was good but lacked a bit of salt and unfortunately we did not have any on the table to spice the food up. But anyway this location offers a good lunch for fair prices and is worth visiting.

We loved the courtyard dining. It's very compact with lovely old rooms inside too. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. The menu is more imaginative than most German restaurants but I did not feel the combinations always came off. Having said that I would go back.
