Ganz klare Empfehlung.

The place is impressive. We had the feeling to be back in the 19 th century. We had an amazing three course dinner which was outstanding. The first course was a delicious carpaccio of monkfish. The second course which was called 'Heaven and Earth' was a fois grase with apples slices and mash potatoes and tasted just terrific with the Pauillac Grand Cru Classé. As dessert we have chosen the creme brûlée and the tris of plums. The service was very friendly and attentive. We can absolutely recommend this place.

The restaurant is very small, about 8 tables decked in checked tablecloths. The walls are covered with shelfs on which lots of bottles of wine are displayed. I very much liked the room. The service was impeccable, very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine. I had a wonderful Wiener Schnitzel with a lovely Austrian wine. Great! Dessert was also memorable - cheese! For two people, both havin three courses an d wine, coffee or tea you`ll about 150 Euro, a lot, but definitely worth it!!Make sure you book a table in advance!

we had three course menu of the day. The first course was a spinach soup - creamy and tasty. Waiter explained what kind of fish we're getting for the main course. The food was very well composed on the plate, and not the 'standard hotel food' you often get. Asked for a an Irish single malt after dinner, he recommended Tullamore Dew. Good choice.

Try the "phenomenal pea mousse". As the name suggests, it's phenomenal. We had dinner at Idyll during the long Easter weekend and really liked the place. Good service, great food, lovely scenery (lake). Only 4 stars because of the ambiance - large room, a bit cold and lounge music that really did not fit. Overall, we would recommend the place to all our friends, as we had a great time with delicious food (value for money): fish and wine were good, dessert could have been warmer and schnapps (homemade) was delicious. And the pea mousse......awesome! Go and try for yourselves.

Our family went there to have a nice dinner. We called to make a reservation and were asked to arrive at 5pm since all tables were booked afterwards. So we arrived at 5pm. The interior is a mix of modern, old and peculiar stuff. The menu looked ok. We ordered a Scholle, duck, lamb and Wiener schnitzel. When served we returned the duck right away since it was heavily overcooked and solid as a leather shoe. The Scholle was the smallest one I have ever seen although I must admit that the taste was good. The Wiener schnitzel with the fries was dry as a desert. All in all we were glad to get out of the restaurant to go into a fish restaurant.Well overpriced with small portions and badly prepared food. The food and the guests deserve better.

True to its name, the restaurant is small. Better make a reservation. Food was nice, tasty and fresh (my partner and i both had fish) however a little expensive in comparison and not extraordinary. The service was very fast and quick, but in my opinion lacked a smile. From my perspective, the place also lacks a little atmosphere, but we only sat outside, so maybe inside its all nice and lovely. Summarizing, you are not doing anything wrong if you go there for dinner.

Its fish and the Zander was excellent. Fresh. And Uwe's kitchen does know the preparation. Great skin. Everything else is deco, the beer, the potatoes, the sauces (be warned of Pommersche Sauce). Not important, as you want fish, come for fish, eat fish and remember it for fish. So go. Truely traditional fish place.

During our holidays that we spent in Heringsdorf/Usedom in July 2013 and a second short stay in August 2013 we ate 4 times at Carl's Kneipe, including my birthday-dinner : ) It is simply the best. I'm severly addicted to fried eel, turbot (Steinbutt), codfish in mustard-sauce (Dorsch in Senfsauce)... We already enjoyed this restaurant several years ago. You have to try it. Amiable service. There is a little playground nearby, that you can overlook from the tables outside.Last order: 9 pm/ 21 Uhr! You have to make a reservation,

Weil es fast überall nur Fisch gibt, gingen wir in die Kogge und haben erstklassige Steaks erhalten, guten Wein und eine sehr aufmerksame Kellnerin dazu.
