Great local food in family restaurant, the specials were both good, pork with sauerkraut and tender beef cheeks with cabbage, good wine, beware the local schnapps! On sale for â¬7 per bottle! Friendly staff and a welcome respite from hotel, tucked away in residential area, looked closed at first in the dark from the outside but fairly full on a busy Saturday night, don't get there too late as food seemed to stop around 930pm.

Well decorated and an outdoor playground greeted us, and even in January the kids played. My family raved at the numerous duck selections and enjoyed their meals. I, however, am not a fan so the non-duck menu is a bit limited. Big portions and good prices with excellent service. We will go back, even me for another great schnitzel!!

We enjoyed an excellent meal in this cosy little restaurant which had a log fire (very welcome on chilly night). The menus are all in German but staff were very helpful about translating. They also recommended a very good French red wine to complement the food. Our main was duck which was incredibly tasty and tender. Great experience all round. They even advised us the best route to walk home!

Very friendly service, very reasonable prices extensive menu with German, Vietnamese, thai and Chinese dishes. The people operating this place are Vietnamese. We had squid from the Vietnamese menu (lots of fresh veggies and herbs, very tasty) and duck from the thai menu (tasty, but not spicy enough for Thai). The rice was a bit dried out, but otherwise a good experience.

If you like Pork then you must not miss this place if you are visiting Leipzig. Every dish cooked perfect with no frills. Reasonable prices and good service. I was pleased to see an English menu but be warned it is cash only so no cards!!

Das Restaurant bietet gutbürgerliche Küche an. Das Essen war jetzt nicht herausragend, aber in Ordnung. Der Service war auch in Ordnung. Der Gastraum ist komplett geflieÃt, was nicht gerade sehr gemütlich wirkt. Dass einen die sächsischen und preuÃischen Könige beim Essen anstarren, muss man auch wollen.

Waren am Samstagabend, auf Empfehlung einer Geschäftspartnerin, zum ersten Mal dort. Servicekraft Mandy empfing uns, trotz unserer beiden Hunde, sehr sehr freundlich und bat uns einen ruhigen Tisch im idyllischen Biergarten an. Die Speisekarte ist regional und sehr übersichtlich gehalten. Bietet jedoch selbst für den ausgefallensten Geschmack etwas. Besonders empfehlenswert, der Sächsische Sauerbraten. Auch das Schnitzel war eine wahre Gaumenfreunde. Den regionalen Schnaps zum Abschluss können wir ebenfalls nur empfehlen. Jederzeit wieder eine Reise wert.

Walked here from Ibis Budget. Had booked as it appeared very popular.Excellent menu with English translation.Had a goulash type soup that was a meal in itself.Followed by a delicious steak based dish.Service friendly and prompt. Wine list and beers reasonably priced.Large outside seating areas both at front and in rear biergarten.
