Präsentation der Speisen und Getränke optisch ansprechend, geschmacklich aber nur durchschnittlich. Unaufmerksamer Service mit langen Wartezeiten, Einrichtung des Restaurants wirkt überladen. Preise für die Qualität nicht angemessen.

We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The staff is 100% spot on! Fast, efficient and very forthcoming. The food quality for dinner was super. Well prepared and good portions. Just for breakfast it was a bit too "simple". I like to measure the quality of a breakfast buffet on the style of eggs available and when I see that the scrambled eggs are made of a ready mix-powder than this is automatically a minus. Hello Sascha, thank you very much for your rating about which we were very happy. At one point I must argue with you. We do not use egg powder. To avoid the danger of salmonella we use pasteurized eggs. Thank you for your understanding

A small restaurant in Braunlage with a small menu. The variety is good and the food very fresh and delicious. I recommend a table reservation on weekends and during school holidays.

Please try the pork nachsteaks cooked on the lavastone. Superb. In fact, all the food we were served was delicious, tasty, and plentiful. Great Kuchen and bier sat outside on the balcony on a summer evening. Heaven!!!!!Been twice now so consistently good.

Beste, auserlesenes Angebot an Torten, Kuchen, Gebäck vom Konditor bereitet, mit sehr gutem Kaffee serviert und angemessene Gemütlichkeit in einem Erholungsort.Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

We decided to have a dinner at villa fichtenhof beacuse the reviews here were quite good and it was very close to the place where we were staying. The place was nearly empty and still it took ages for food to come. My riesling was not cold and my husband's warm starter wasn't really warm. My baguette proved to be slices of toats with something strange on them makinv them too spicy. And there was a small piece of glass in my husband's main dish!!! The waiter actually asked him IF he wanted a new dish!!! As if anyone would want to eat the rest to check if there is more glass... he wasn't really shocked or sorry. Neither did he try to make up for it in any way. To make things even worse you can't pay there by credit card nor international debit card: only German debit card or cash. The place really does suck - avoid at all costs.

Das Hotel Garni und Gaststätte Zum Holzfäller liegt mittig im Ort Schierke. Diese Lage macht es zum idealen Ausgangspunkt für eine anspruchsvolle Wanderung zum Brocken.Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir sehr freundlich vom Koch des Hauses empfangen, der uns auch auf unser Zimmer begleitete.Das Mobiliar des Zimmers ist im guten und gepflegten Zustand. Praktische Möblierung mit ausreichend Kleiderbügel und Ablagemöglichkeiten. Hervorragende Matratzen und ein gutes Zudeck sorgen für erholsamen Schlaf.Das Bad ist ebenfalls im guten Zustand, der Druck auf der Duscharmatur ist ausreichend.Das Hotel und auch die Gaststätte sind geprägt von einem eher familieären Charakter. Alle Mitarbeiter sind wirklich sehr freundlich und kümmern sich um ihre Gäste.Wir haben zwei Abend in der hoteleigenen Gaststätte zu Abend gegessen und das Essen war wirklich gut. Es war nicht billig, aber frisch zubereitet und preiswert.Auch das Frühstück war lecker, obwohl das Buffet optisch eher klein wirkte. Es gab sehr leckere Wurst und frische Bäckerbrötchen und auch der Kaffee war ausgezeichnet. Objektiv fehlte mir persönlich nichts.Ich kann das Hotel und auch die Gaststätte uneingeschränkt z.B. für eine Wochenendaktivität empfehlen. Für eine längere Zeit wäre mir die Gegend allgemein zu ruhig. Für passionierte Wanderer allerdings ist auch die Gegend ideal.Wir buchen das Hotel auf jeden Fall noch einmal!

Food was lovely, prices are bit higher but the setup is great, and looks like a great place to stay in. Staff was not too friendly and not really interested in providing good customer service. They serve food only inside and not on the terrace. Dog friendly.
