We dined at the Landgasthof Rebstock on two occasions during our stay. On each occasion the food was excellent, as was the service. The menu is not extensive, but we had no trouble finding dishes to our taste on each evening. The rump steak was especially good. There is also a good wine list. The âby the glassâ options we tried were better than the usual house wine. There is seating inside and out. The inside area had a traditional décor which was a very comfortable place for a quiet, extended dinner. The service staff have various levels of English, but we managed to cope with no issues. Prices are a little higher than some of the popular cafes/restaurants along the river, but still quite reasonable â and certainly good value. The Landgasthof Rebstock was one of the best restaurants we ate at during our week in the Rhine valley. We would certainly recommend it.

The location of the restaurant is fantastic, overlooking the magnificent Rhine River on which we had cruised from Bingen. Lucky enough to be there on a lovely day with pleasant service and good food a feeling of gemutlichkeit sank in. However, on paying with a â¬50 note for our bill of ⬠40.60, the waitress smiled and walked away. I had to call her back to inquire about the change whereupon she smiled sweetly and said that she assumed it was a tip. Maybe some rich patrons tip 25% but I am not in that league so had to gently request that she return â¬5 , rather embarrassing for me, but.......

A popular restaurant on the banks of the River Rhine opposite the Loreley Rock. 2012 prices include: Mushroom Cream Soup @ â¬4.50, Goulash Soup @ â¬4.00, Sausage and Potato Salad @ â¬5.50, Schnitzel Pilzrahm @ â¬11.50, Tea @ â¬2.20 and Coffee @ â¬2.20April is a quiet time for visitors as its a bit early in the season. However a full menu was available and the staff took time to explain what was good etc. Attentive staff, a clean place, good food, scenic views and reasonable prices not much more could one ask for. Definately a place we will return to.Visited on 12th April 2012.

The Keutmann restaurant isn't all that large, though it has an ourdoor terrace with umbrellas for when the weather is good. The variety of menu items is large, particularly for a restaurant of this size, and a vegetarian could be happy. Anyone should be able to find multiple items from which to select a meal. There is even a complete version of the menu in English. Waitstaff pleasant, helpful, and quick. Anyone considering the nearest hotel-restaurant more or less across the street would likely be disappointed in the menu, the food, and the staff. We have stayed at the Keutmann and had meals there on four occasions since 1986; we think it's a winner.

We stopped here for lunch while driving from Kloster Eberbach to Koblenz. It had been a rather circuitous route because sections of the road along the river were closed for roadworks. I chose the goulash. It was very good, packed with flavour. My wife chose the schnitzel and said it was one of the best she had eaten. Service was prompt and the waiter very friendly. The restaurant was decorated with memorabilia and was very clean, as were the toilets. There were some nice views of the river to enjoy before we continued our journey.

Newly opened bar bistro
Very popular restaurant offering the type of reasonably priced dishes which are widely available in the area. Space inside is rather limited with many tables outside but they found us some bar chairs and a high table. Food was fine and we enjoyed the lively atmosphere. Unusually, they accepted a credit card payment without charging extra.

Landsknecht is my favorite Rhine hotel by far, partially for the nice restaurant. For lunch or a more causal dinner, dine on their Rheinterasse, one of the very few restaurants in the Rhine Gorge area that is directly (!) on the Rhine, with no road or railroad between you and the marvelous, busy river. Enjoy the view of castle and vineyards while you enjoy the food and wine. Wines from the family vineyard are also quite good. Inside dining is also available in either a new, modern dining room with great views of the river or in a more traditional room. During my last visit I enjoyed 2 of their special menus, one more of a gourmet menu and the other offering traditional cuisine of the region. Both were delicious and well-presented, with staff that were adequately attentive but not over-bearing. I've tried many other restaurants between Boppard and Rudesheim and both sides of the Rhine, but the one I return to most often is Landsknecht for the combo of good food, good view and easy adjacent parking too. It's a short distance outside of St. Goar and thus not in the heavy tourist area. The hotel is very good as well.

My friend and I had dinner here when we were staying in Sankt Goar. The food was fresh and flavourful, quantities were good and the price was reasonable. We both had the daily asparagus special that included soup and dessert. We both enjoyed it.

We were staying at the hotel and decided, after several recommendations, to try the restaurant. It was great. Both schnitzel dishes were excellent. Portions were huge. Two schnitzels per plate with salad and fries or spatzel. The chef checked to be sure we were happy with the meal. Nice! He also suggested our wine for the evening that turned out to be one of the best dry Riesling I have had. Eat here.

Sat down here at 8pm on a Saturday evening. It was quite busy. It was difficult to get attention, you had to chase a waitress rather than them coming to you.Ordered drinks, starter and main course. Drinks came fairly quickly. Starter arrived at 8.30pm. Then we sat until 9.30pm with no food. We were sat next to a group of 4. The 1st diner had finished his meal before the 4th diner had got their food. At 9.30 I asked where the food was and I was told 'We only have a small kitchen'. I don't class myself as a business genius but the obvious answer is have less tables. Waitresses seem to be coming out with just one plate at a time.At 9.40 after waiting 1 hour 10 minutes for my meal, I paid for my drinks and left.Wild horses wouldn't drag me back there.
