On top of the Katrin alm you have two options to eat. One had its closing day of the week so we decided to take this one. This one is the highest right next to the "seilbahn". I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel (12,90 Euro). It was good although a little thin in my opinion. The fries though were very good. After all a good meal but not more than that. Next time I will try the other.
Modern decor. Friendly Staff. Clean and excellent prices. Also offers cakes and coffee and small selection of hot food.Great for budget travellers or families with children.

Warmly welcome at our hotel and restaurant Kirchenwirt. We have comfortable, modern double rooms and appartements up to 4 persons. In our restaurant we serve regional specialities as well as vegetarian dishes.
We have been coming to Strobl for 15 years and the kirchenwirt is the best. The food is always great, fantastic service with a smile and nothing is ever too much trouble for Maria and her team! Book a table at busy times. Can't recommend enough!

Had driven by this place for a week and finally had a meal their. They are very busy and very popular. The menu is not large but what they serve is very good and nice portions. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Prices are moderate in range. Very clean and nicely laid out.

on our way back to Salzburg, and this was our choice. An excellent one, Perfect scenery, Der beste Sonnenuntergang in our whole trip.... We took a superb soup, and schnitzel goulash. Everything tasted very very good, and the price was good too. If you are around this is a must. In Summer the view is simply what u should expect from Salzburger scenery.

The Oberhofalm is at the top of the scenic road from Filzmoos. You are surrounded by rocky peaks. You can get up, even in winter, by car (with great snow tires), by horse drawn carriage, or on foot. We walked and the hike made us ready to eat! The food is wonderful, especially the grilled sausage plate with smashed potatoes and sauerkraut. It was busy when we arrived but quieted by the time we were finished. I only put 4 stars because our server (who is one of the owners) didn't seem all that interested nor attentive. The food was great as were the drinks (hot chocolate with rum and an after-meal schnapps).

Our excursion restaurant has closed seasonally from the end of October to May 2020. By May 2020, we have reopened!
We visited this Gasthaus for lunch, during a hike around the Hallstatt lake. They have outdoors tables and the view over the lake and mountains is breathtaking. We ordered a portion of fried chicken, a typical "snack" made by buttered bread, cheese and salami and a slice of poppy-seed cake, an apple juice and a small radler beer for a total of â¬30. They have English menu and the staff is friendly. Recommended!

My wife and I had lunch here on a rainy day in mid-June. The Hut is warm and inviting and the staff and guests were all friendly. It is mostly frequented by locals or Austrians on a hiking day or trip. We got there via the gondola but others had obviously been hiking in the hills. The meaty soup we both had was delicious and quite filling, well worth 8 Euros.
You will be enchanted in our à la carte restaurant with culinary delights from our region and from around the world. We are happy to recommend you a good wine from our own wine cellar! Gluten-free and lactose free kitchen on reservation in the Hotel Somme
We ate here on the spur of the moment as we were driving past. We were surprised by how nice it was. We only wanted a light meal & the Club sandwich was big enough for the two of us to share after having the French Onion Soup. It was nice to see a sign up saying they'd appreciate everyone not using their mobile phones in the dining room. The waitresses were all in traditional dress & the service was quite good. They have, like a lot of hotels in Austria, half board and they had a Bain Marie set up with a wide selection of food & wines for those staying at the hotel. A nice meal at a good price.

We had a nice evening here with good Austrian Sekt and white wine. The locally caught fish is especially good. The service was a bit better than usual in central Europe. Our waiter didn't, for once, start clearing the table until everyone in the party had finished eating.Highly recommendable.Dear PeterG,thank you for your great review! We are happy that we were able to make your evening beautiful. Also, the praise for our food makes us very happy. Together with the whole family we want to offer our guests a nice experience in Austria. And would like to ensure that the small family run restaurants in the countryside are preserved. We look forward to welcome you again!Best regards, family Kerschbaumer & Team
