Buchhorner Suben was our second choice for dinner in Friedrichshafen but it turned out to be a perfect choice. As a main course we had local white fish with almond butter, spinach and parsley potatoes, swabian strip loin steak with roasted onions and thyme-jus, bacon-beans and homemade Spätzles and chicken steaks for children. From the sweets we had dessert variation âBuchhorner Stubenâ and variation of black and white mousse au chocolat. All meals were delicious and serving was stylish as well. Moreover we have been very satisfied also with service. Serving waitress was professional, flexible and modest.

We dined here as we were staying in the hotel (see review). The restaurant offered 3 different menus, each with the choice of a taste of wines, eventually. Portions are not very small. There was also the opportunity to order à la carte and waiters seemed to be accommodating about it. However we chose the menus which are well priced and the food was all good. They serve modern German cuisine and some things were a bit unusual (which is good) but generally ranged from good to very good. I would return.

Here like triftt you look. The heart of our guest house is the curving bar area where you have nice conversations with a delicious aperitif, digestif, beer or wine ... Home at the beautiful Lake Constance. Regional ceiling paintings and the typical round
I visited Lukullum while I was in town for business, based on a customer recommendation. I went there on my first day in Friedrichshafen and kept going there every single day throughout my entire stay. The restaurant is very spacious and has a lot of tables suitable for different amounts of people. I in fact, went there by myself each day as the restaurant was just a 15 minutes away from my hotel, and always had great experience. The restaurant is located right beside the central station, in about 15 minutes walk from the old town. The menu at the restaurant is varied And any person with dietary restrictions can find something to eat. Their salads are great and rich with flavors. The fish is fresh and the steak is highly recommended. On one of the evenings I tried a dessert based on chocolate muss and strawberries And that too was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend everyone to visit this restaurant. I will go back there again on my next visit to Friedrichshafen.Hello MissMayG,thank you very much for visiting us in the Lukullum every day of your stay in Friedrichshafen. We are very happy and proud about your respectful and great words in your TripAdvisor comment. Your feedback is a great motivation for our whole team to keep our high level and a great confirmation for our daily doings. We are looking forward to be your host again and hope you will stay in Friedrichshafen again soon. Best regards and all the best.Your Lukullum-Team

We just dropped here spontaneously for lunch. We had veal sausages with truffels taste and deer. The food was awesome, served together with very interesting dips and nice extras like hone made spatzle or roasted potatoes. The servants were nice and cheerful. We will back again definitely.

Sunday lunch is pretty usual in England but for some reason not so in Germany, so we were surprised to find a restaurant open for Sunday lunch. We had reservations but really didn't need them as, despite the lively setting alongside a marina and quite close to a ferry dock, the restaurant wasn't very busy. Service at first was efficient but completely disappeared by the last course.Portions are large so only order a first course if you're really hungry. Salads were generous but not very tasty despite what should be tasty ingredients. The companion had the steak and cheese spatzle. Despite being cooked medium the steak was tough but the spatzle was under-seasoned. The entree came with a side salad. My dish of lake fish was generous with various fishes from Lake Constance. There were six small fillets, again well cooked but under-seasoned. The dish came with six boiled potatoes and a melange of shredded vegetables that looked like it had been sitting for a long while in a steam tray. Desserts, when we got them, were very good. My macaroon with fresh berries and berry ice cream was excellent tainted by the disappearance of almost every member of the wait staff. We sat for a good 20 minutes before someone patrolled the dining area. Then another 15 before we were able to order coffee and the bill. Can't explain the problem but suspect everyone clocked off at 14,00 despite customers still sitting at tables. If you choose the Seehof for a meal get there early.Thank you for your visit, hopefully you had a nice trip at the Bodensee. Seemed you have chosen the nicest locations around. Sincerely Jürgen Hallerbach

I had the chance to visit this cozy restaurant for a solo dinner during one of my business trips . Service is super friendly and location is lovely.Meat is superb and iâd suggest the Pinot noir produced in the area . Iâd love to come back again in their summer terrace!Pictured : chocolate mousse and the table, as it was upon my arrival .

our party of three adults truly take dining seriously. we appreciate when a restaurant team, both dining room team and kitchen team come together to show off their place. this is what we experienced here. the table team headed by melanie was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and truly interested in assuring that our dining experience would be memorable. the kitchen team, lead by dominic put together some flavorful dishes showing their skills with local fish, beef and pork. even the vegetables, often a sad afterthought by some restaurants could stand on their own as a stellar dish, fresh and tastefully seasoned so as to highlight the true flavor of each vegetable product. nothing from start to finish was left wanting. a platonic experience in dining.Dear worldexplorer, thank you so much for your wonderful review of our restaurant, the food and the staff. Great to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Your compliments are very much appreciated by each and every one of the staff. We would be very happy to welcoming you again one day at our hotel, next time hopefully with better weather conditions. Thanks again and all the best, the entire team of the Hotel & Restaurant Seegarten.

Thanks to the Swiss "Gilde Gourmet" guide I discovered this lovely house in Hagenwil - a tiny village in the countryside, close to Amriswil. The restaurant is cozy and nicely decorated, boasting a relaxed atmosphere.A huge thumbs-up to Melanie for her very smiling, attentive and efficient service during the whole lunch. As I visited mid-October the menu included several venison dishes. As starter I chose the homemade venison ravioli, they proved very tasty. The main course was "Variation von Wild" - a sample of venison meat served with delicious gnocchi: deer stew, grilled wild boar, panko-coated roe deer schnitzel. Once again tasty and generous portion. I indulged in a chestnut parfait for dessert, served with a flavourful pear and vanilla compote.Swiss price level is unfortunately quite expensive and Schloss Hagenwil is no exception. The bill amounted to CHF92, however the good food and excellent service are well worth it
