We are located in the middle of the countryside and serve excellent homemade Food. It is a paradise not only for kids
We were recommended this wonderful little restaurant by our accommodation in Fussen (we stayed at Seespitz Hotel. - please refer my review of that excellent place). It was snowing heavily and we wouldn't have gone without the recommendation and a GPS tracker! It was so well worth it. Lovely views of the valley and mountains in a cosy dining room in the 1780's built guest house. The food was good. I enjoyed smoked trout. My wife loved her pork medallions. My kids were happy with their rump steak and 'small' schnitzel. Decent wine and beer selection. I had a very nice Creme Brûlée as well as a good coffee to finish. The hosts are friendly. If you're in the vicinity give this place a try!

Wonderful location, old style hotel with a generous sized room and a panorama view of the mountains.History on the walls with old certificates to music competitions in the Allgau. The balcony in summer ,we did go in a wet May,would be covered with geranium boxes which would make sitting out a real pleasure.Very clean throughout. Downstairs the bar is split into 2 by dividing doors to have a restaurant and a seating area for the bar.Breakfast is served here ,which will certainly keep you going till late lunch time and the local soft cheese with him paprika is superb.Evening meals are taken in the main area with durndl dressed waitress being given efficient and friendly. Our meals were beautifully cooked and presented by the owner Paula .In many ways it was a slice of Bavaria from 30 yrs ago but with 2016 comforts.Excellent beers!

100% thumbs-up for the location.Overall very good service except one male server. First he told me to sit down in a very respect-less way when I was trying to get a cloth to clean up the hot chocolate my kids spilled. Every time we ordered something we felt we are an annoyance, even though we spend more than 80 Euro's up there. Later in the evening I ordered 2 small Coke and when he was pouring the first big glass I told him that I ordered 2 small glasses, he did change with rolling his eyes and giving me an attitude. I used to go up there a lot, but will not be back with this kind of service.

My wife and I just finished a superb meal in Schankwirtsschaft Wohlfahrt and after reading its reviews here on tripadvisor we decided we HAVE to give it it's right review! This restaurant is amazing! We are traveling in Germany for a week now, and this one is by far the best we ever had dinner in. The food was really delicious, and more important was really authentic (we were the only foreigners in the place), dishes were huge, fresh and very very good. My wife is on a gluten free diet, and the staff was very attentive, and fixed her an excellent meal. OH and the beer... My god their beer! Made by their own Brewery delicious and served in a unique huge cup.You have to try it!!!

We have had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. They serve classical local cuisine interpreted in a modern way. Excellent quality products and great service.

We ate at the Brugasthof Falkstein the previous night, but the spaetle was not fresh and it seemed a bit touristy. Tonight's beef goulash and fresh spaetzle was outstanding, and the service was friendly and efficient. The portions are huge. If not for the screaming baby and barking dog, I'd give it a 5.

This is an eating place just below the summit of Falkenstein. It is well worth the walk up (a bit of a scramble the last 200 yards, so wear stout shoes). Admire the view, then back to the restaurant for something to eat and a fortifying glass of Prinz Leupolds Donker Beer. If you can get a table on the terrace - heaven! Then to admire the architects designs for the projected castle. King Ludwig II was a monarch who, 1) never involved his subjects in a war, 2) left them richer when he died than when he came to the throne, and, 3) whose hobby was building fairytale castles on mountain tops. Yet they called him "Mad King Ludwig". There is no justice in the world!

Good food for very reasonable prices. One of the fastest services I have ever experienced, which was perfect for us as we were tired and wanted a quick diner
