If you're longing for a good schnitzel and delicious assorted accompaniments at a very reasonable price, look no further. VERY casual pub setting within the town walls. Efficient and friendly service. Recommended!

The location of this hotel is ideal - in the very center. The room is so modest, that you have an impression you are still in the monastery. The bed is proper for some VERY SINFUL monk. Moreover, the bathroom stinks and the whole place does not look clean. The hotel parking costs 8.5 Euro per night. It is open for everybody for the same price, so sometimes there is a problem to find a place there.

Its no wonder most Germans don't care a stitch (or even know) about the so-called Romantic Road in Bavaria. Towns like Nordlingen, supposed highlights on the route, are incredibly uninteresting. If half timbered Hansel-Gretl houses are your thing, there are plenty of more interesting towns elsewhere in Germany. If you are here because Willy Wonka was, then by all means, visit away. If you happen to stop in this town, very nice pastries and excellent coffee can be had at this two level cafe. Its very busy, but very efficient ---and prices are surprisingly low for the good quality. Not much ambiance, other than a nice pastry display....but a great place to rest. Locals are there daily, you see the wait staff sitting down with this person or that, which is a nice touch.

After wandering around Norlingen we decided to have dinner at the Gasthouse zum Fuchs. A bog standard German Pub the waitress was attentive, the food arrived quickly and was really well prepared. Not an extensive menu, it did however have many Bavarian favorites including Pork Hocks and Schnitzels which is what we had and thoroughly enjoyed. As is typical in German Pubs they had numerous beers on tap which were all excellent. Not a fancy place but it certainly does a good job filling up an empty stomach.

We came to visit Meyers Keller to present our spanish niece and her boyfriend with some excellent example of traditional dishes cooked at the highest level and Meyers Keller turned out have been an excellent choice indeed. We greatly enjoyed all of our dishes which included a starter of home made culatello then mains of Maultaschen, Wiener Schnitzel, Krautwickel and Schwäbischer Rostbraten followed with a dessert for 4 of Kaiserschmarrn. Evereything was prepared very very well indeed. Service was a delight. We will most certainly return.

We had dinner in the beer garden. Very busy with a friendly crowd of locals visitors. I had schnitzel with boiled potatoes and it was fine and the portions were enormous. Not high class but good homely food in a lively setting.

Stuck is a traditional restaurant that is managed by a young couple. We have been there several times and always truly enjoyed the experience. They are combining traditional German food with original additions. In summer they have a beautiful courtyard. Highly recommended.

We found this place while exploring the town, and made reservations to come back that evening for dinner. This place is very popular with locals, so we are very glad we made those reservations. It's very charming and modern-looking, the food was excellent, and our server, Yvonne, was outstanding. They don't have a translated menu (which is fine-we enjoy trying to decipher what we can), and Yvonne helped by translating every dish on the menu for us. She was very helpful, kind, and fun. This place was a one-of -a kind experience.

We stopped here for a dinner and the staff could not have been more helpful and efficient. We had Gemusegratin which was wonderful and looking at other diners food, everyone seemed to be very happy with their choice and have to say the portions were plentiful.
