This has one of the most stunning locations of any of Saalbach-Hinterglemm's many huts. Can often be windswept up here but the hut faces south out towards the Hohe Tauern and the core of Austria's mountains. There used to always be plenty of table service but the hut has been extended over the years to be more of a self-service place. There's still a small Stube where you can get waited on. Food is good and generally at reasonable prices.

At the heart of our farmhouse is the old âRauchkuchlâ, a unique type of kitchen common to alpine regions from the late middle ages to the end of the 19th century. Enjoy the unique opportunity of watching Theresia Bacher prepare a feast for you in her open
We spent a long weekend there. It is like travelling back in time and spending your stay/nights in a more than 100 years old farmershouse. Amazing. Owner Theresia Bacher is also cooking, delicious and a lot! Definitely enjoyed our stay here. Strong recommendation!

We have spent a nice evening at Steinerwirt. You can either sit inside or if it is warm enough outside at the beautiful terrace under the trees. We had some Austrian dishes such as - Flädlesuppe- Kasnocken- Beef TartareAll of it very yummieh! The service was friendly and fast.Dear svk1201,thank you for your visit at our restaurant and the nice review. We are really happy that you enjoyed the typical Austrian kitchen at our restaurant.

This is a must go too âbucket listâ venue for dinner. Yes, the apres ski party is lively early evening but the management close the Restaurant from 6pm and make it nice and cosy for dinner at 7:30 and wow what a dinner experience. Book early.

The Dorfkrug Restaurant is housed in a charming Austrian house a few minutes walk from the centre of Kaprun. The popularity of the restaurant sees tourists and locals flock to dinner here every evening. The comfortable and traditional interior is stylish and welcoming to tourists and locals. Reservations are a must to avoid disappointment. The menu is well priced and offers the best in Austrian cuisine with a wide range of meat and fish dishes to satisfy all tastes. Portions are generous and delicious with a good wine list and table service provided by an enthusiastic team of young waiters and the lovely Tine, who was particularly friendly and whose good English was a big help in this most Austrian resort. Two sittings at 6pm and 8pm for dinner enables the Dorfkrug team to deliver great service at this popular dining spot. We'll be back ! Hello Mr./s. Mc Kenzie, thank you so much for your lovely words and your great report! We are very happy and thankful for that. We hope to see you soon back at the Dorfkrug Kaprun. Kind regards from the hole Team!

We arrived close to 10 pm and I was almost sure the kitchen will be closed. Luckily we got served with a classic, good schnitzel, so we were saved from starving after a full day's drive. The food is not exquisite, but is tasty and fresh and very typical Austrian.
Table reservation required! Local specialties: ribs, roast pork, Tyrolean roast potatoes, cheese spaetzle, ⦠International dishes: Wiener schnitzel, Italian pizza, ...
Wonderful people, fantastic rustic charm, loved by all the locals! One rule of thumb for eating abroad, which I have always stayed true to, if the locals eat there then it must be good,,,, and that is so true of the Bacherhof! Not only is the Bacherhof a resteraunt but it's also a B&B.and the guests eat here as well, there are often 'Speciality' Austrian dishes which the wondefull Andrea prepares for guests that are available to resteraunt customers as well.... or Manfried will make you an amazing pizza!! Reasonable prices, Real Austrian charm and such an enjoyable visit.
