Find out what German restaurants to try in Neuss. Just across the Rhine River from Dusseldorf, Neuss was founded by the Romans in 16 B.C., as the military colony of Novaesium, making it one of Germany's oldest Roman settlements. The town thrived in the Middle Ages, and in the late 15th century staved off the Siege of Neuss by Burgundian leader Charles the Bold. Museum Insel Hombroich is one of the city's main attractions, a unique venue fusing nature, art and architecture amid the heavy industrialization of the Rhine-Ruhr area.

The food was delivered in perhaps 6 minutes and was very hearty. I may have had potatoes about 5 times already this week but I would say these were the best. Don't pass on huge wine pours if that's your style. Clearly very popular so arrive early maybe before 7.

This Bistro is always full because the food is great, the atmosphere friendly and busy and (considering the quality of the food and cooking) the value is great.I recommend arriving a bit early (5-6pm) otherwise you have to wait in line. Since the place is always full, be ready to share your table with others (generally nice people).I had the potato soup, superb. Take at least the medium size. Then the Dusseldorfer steak (great), then the triple sorbets (as great as they look in the picture). My table-mates (complete strangers) enjoyed the huge Wiener Schnitzel and Red Salmon, so I think these could be recommended too. This restaurant is worth a special trip to Dusseldorf. I shall go there again.

Dropped by here with friends and had a nice but unremarkable dinner. The restaurant was busy with a large party but service was pleasant and efficient nonetheless. Pizzas were a good size and generously covered with topping ingredients. As so often happens the menu gave the impression it had been tuned to German tastes rather than offering an authentic Italian experience. Only criticism was wine was pretty basic so stuck with the beer.

Eating in this restaurant is magnificent, the surroundings of Zurheide's Edeka belong to the next stage, simply the best. Never seen such a food ... well how shall I put it...show, factory, supermarket: it's beyond words! Setzkasten is situated downstairs next to the Mozzarella-bar, friendly staff, nice menu, fine cooking. Just try it and amaze yourself in this food-heaven in Dusseldorf in Germany.

Heinemann's has a wide selection of breakfasts including yogurt and fruit, grilled salmon, herring and potatoes, smoked salmon, eggs and much more. My only criticism is that they didn't have low fat milk or yogurt that was less than 3.5% fat. The waiter was very friendly. They have an English-language menu -- just ask.

in such restaurant you feel immediately right. Spontaneously friendly and competent service. Limited but nice choice of dishes. Visible that they work here with fresh products, now the focus was on asparagus. The soup and the risotto were good but the best was the dessert : a chocolate mousse made with olive oil and served with strawberries. Good choice of wines per glass. Very good ratio price/quality

I love Im Dom!!! It's my favorite restaurant in Neuss, Germany. Why? Because I've always had a fabulous German meal there. The owner and staff treats me like I am a local and I feel at home dining on the best German food ever! Of course I always have one of my two favorites... Schnitzel with a mushroom sauce, fried potatoes , their fabulous fresh salads and a side of red cabbage. Order a wonderful German Riesling or beer to sip and you are set. Just heavenly! Enjoy! Nothing better than a German dinner at Im Dom!
