After 2.5 hours walk in the beautiful countryside around Bröleck, Ruppichteroth, we went for lunch in Bauernschänke on Easter Monday. It was absolutely packed and we were asked whether we had booked a table which we had not. They accommodated us anyway and were very kind. We got very good, down to Earth food. The salad was excellent and I cannot understand why you would complain about it (see review further down). Some of us had a Schnitzel which was huge and good with fried potatoes and one of us had a Fladenbrot. Latter is very big, even the small one and should only be eaten if you are really hungry. We enjoyed the stay very much. Bauernschänke is not the place for a posh evening out but a good place for decent food after a long walk with muddy boots on your feet. They also have outside seating. Inside is very quaint but certainly not everybody's taste - far from contemporary. Yes, this is the right place for active, hungry, walking people, bikers, and cyclists.

When you approach Sängerheim you would not believe that there is a hidden gem in this building with its rather boring exterior. Don't be put off by this, just enter and indulge! The food is out of the ordinary both in quality and composition. We had cauliflower with apricots - wonderful! Black beer ice cream - phenomenal! Black cherries with rosemary as amuse bouche - divine! The journey to find this excellent restaurant in a small village south of Cologne is absolutely worth it! The menu changes every month!

The restaurant Kurfürst looks like a nice, typical German place. When coming in, all looks nice. The service is good and very friendly, but the food could be better. Somehow it lacks in taste. Don't get me wrong, it is not bad, but we would not choose the restaurant for a special night out. They have a lunch time offer which has a good price for decent food, but nothing special.

Very friendly staff with good traditional food. Too bad that you exit the restaurant smelling... the smell of food of course.
Get yummy food and a good choice of drinks. Burgers are freshly made to order with 180g of ground beef used. They have a burger with pork meat, but hey, try the ground beef first. There also is the notorious German "Currywurst" with a selection of sauces from classic to fruity, spicy or barbecue. There is additional provision for those of you who like it hot/spicy: 4 levels to satisfy even the most demanding taste. The "Schnitzel" selection is rather bland in its taste and not a good first choice to get to know the kitchen. Salads and other side dishes are avilable. Modern style furniture. Quite comfortable. Service is excellent. All in all one of my favourites.

Came here with family for a dinner, good idea. Ate outside on their patio where the view is of local houses and trees, nice area with no loud traffic. We all ordered smaller versions of the dishes, except for my spouse, as the small ones were perfectly fine. Our uncle ordered the smaller Schnitzel which came with less potatoes than the regular size, but the two schnitzel pieces were just as large as the regular portion. The Cod on pumpkin quinoa was so colorfully organized, it was a work of art! And I got the small size, which was good as there was plenty to eat! We also all got side salads, which was a good idea b/c none of the dishes we ordered had veggies with them. Good meal, good server, and good company! The only caveat, their espresso is very watery.

A traditional German brauhaus serving excellent food and beer brewed on the premises. I had the sausage and vegetable soup, a hearty tasty dish served with a heavy rye bread. Absolutely fabulous when washed down with the flavoursome beer. Great value and a fantastic atmosphere, a must for families and friends. My fourth visit to Siegburg and I hope not last. The Brauhaus is a delight....enjoy!

A wonderful place for a drive into the countryside and for a good meal.I had a Mediterranean chicken special and my wife the Trout (forelle). Both were excellent -clearly the chef has Italian influence. We sat out on the terrace with a couple of glasses of wine. Perfect. and only 55 euros for 2

The food is excellent, service very good. They have a fantastic beer garden with playground for kids and an adventure mini golf attached. It's a fantastic place in summer for big parties with kids. The food changes seasonnally such as goose in November, asaparagus in May. Their salads a great and so are the good German dishes.
