Normally, buffet is not our first choice, but it was our only option on a Saturday night. And we were satisfied: service was very attentive and friendly, most of the food we tried was good and it was good value, 23⬠for appetizer and main course buffet with lots of things. The setting in the Wintergarten was nice, although it can get noisy when packed with people.

Eravamo già stati in questo posto e ci eravamo trovati bene. Siamo andati in tre. Abbiamo preso il piatto di arrosto misto. 20 EU a ps minimo due persone. Avevamo visto che era abbondante ...erano fatti nostri se volevamo dividerlo in tre. Ma il piatto era dimezzato. Roba da pazzi. Evidentemente dovevano rendere conto al gestore se volevamo dividerlo..peggio x lui. Non ci andremo più.

We visited here for coffee and waffles after a walk around the nearby dam on a very cold and windy winters day. I think we would have settled for anything hot, but these were good coffees - hot, strong and sufficient for several cups. Cost is a little higher than usual for the area. The restaurant has a reasonable typical German menu of steak, chicken and schnitzels which we will have to sample after our next walk.

This venue is a great night venue with terrific food and entertainment. The bar has an excellent range of beverages.
We went here for a family party with 10 people. Although I understand that in this provincial region one cannot expect the same quality of food and service as in a city, this experience was fairly sub-standard.When we came in, we were immediately asked for our drinks choices. There was no menu. It took them ages to bring everything, including the menus which arrived much later than the drinks. There were only two service staff (one elderly man who appeared to be the chief but worked in a rather portly manner and one girl who did her best to be kind and quick but was clearly out of her depth with the amount of guests). The food was alright, but options were merely more than "Schnitzel plus x". Only one vegetarian dish. Given the quality of the food, prices are too high.Furthermore, we were at first sat in a separate room with another party of about ten women who were so loud and annoying that we complained about it. The result was that WE were relocated and had to split in two groups.A rather disappointing experience.

I was here for my husband's company Christmas gathering. First impression, the restaurant is a traditional German restaurant. Since it's a very old building and the seats arrangements were tight and the furniture were old too, the seats were not that comfortable and we had backache the whole night. Food was fine but the service was so slow. There were just 2 staffs working there for that night and serving around 20 persons from our group.

Well, this is one of the oldest "student bars" in Siegen. The beer is excellent, the food is great, the prices are moderate ... you will enjoy a wonderful time. You can chose between the old part with country-style furnishing, and the new part with modern style seating. However, the old part is much more fun and you will get easily into contact with the local people.Nevertheless, parking is a hassle as this place is very famous to be ... ;-)

We went there for a family dinner. Extraordinary chantarelle, knoedel, pasta, chicken/prawn and vegetarian lasagna dishes. Some of the best appetizers and salads I had. Great tap beer and wine lists. The setting is in an antique building with tasteful interior decoration. Worthwhile a detour!
