We visited this restorant twice during our 1 week vacation in Dienten. Food is excellent, portions are huge: one is enough for two persons. Service is very polite and pleasant. Good wifi.

The restaurant has pretty interior and excellent, fast service, but the food was something like average or bellow average depending on the dish, plain and not flavourful at all. They have to improve the menu and upscale every dish, in texture, flavour and presentation. It is on the road so you can drive there by car from Leogang or Saalfelden after skiing.

We stayed with friends on a ski trip to Maishofen, the Gasthof - Restaurant Zur Post was excellent: friendly staff, good food & wine and ambience. We had an great evening and would certainly go back when in the area.
As a local, this is one of my favourite places for a pleasant lunch or dinner. Really good local food, decent portions. Also take-away - bring your own dishes, this will make things easier. Easy parking nearby.
We found online reviews saying this place was pretty good so we thought we would give it a try. We went on a Sunday and the place was packed with families. The server put us in a room up front by ourselves. They do not have any English menus but with a few key words, an online translator and great help we made our choices. We all ordered fish. The food was excellent. The fish I ordered with garlic was the best fish I have ever had and I eat a lot of fish. My wife had fish with a sweet Asian sauce over noodles. Delicious. One of our friends had fried salmon that she loved. The other had fried fish. He wasn't that pleased but he is not a huge fish lover. Weall ordered local beers that were also very pleasant. We wanted to come back but never made it, yet!

Half way up the mountain at the top of the drag lift from Maria Alm. Very swift friendly waiter/waitress service and very good, hot tasty food. prices very reasonable.

Very good service and nice eating there. The food was very ordinary and the drinking middle. It was not expensive, neither was it cheap. We hoped for a little more local food.

The Wastlalm is a lovely small mountain restaurant just along from the top of the Hintermoos chairlift. If the weather is good, it has one of the best views in the area, down the mountain back towards Maria Alm. The view from the WC window is not to be missed...

We went here three years ago and loved the food so when we came back this year, it was our second lace to have dinner- we were so sad to wait - they are closed on Tuesday ( our first night) so we had to eat somewhere else on the first night- but it gave us good comparison- this place IMO is first rate. It is in the village so you can walk to it Many rated on TA. are not in the village but in an neighboring village so I think this is good to know. The wiener Schnitzel ( it is pork not veal - it is that way in Austria) is fresh prepared - you can hear them pound the filet in the kitchen). We sat in the protected outside which is charming. Last time DH had Jagerschnitzel and ask to have spaetzle instead of potatoes which was no problem. When I could not eat all of my dinner - they wrapped it up for me to take to the condo. They speak English and are very kind and the service is excellent. This is a family business and the restaurant is connected to the house. I love that. That is why they have longer hours. The people at the next table had pizza ( why in Austria I dont know but hey ) it was generous in size and smelled delicious. The prices are quite reasonable and yup the food was better than our first night hence why we keep coming back and they remember us- probably because we dine early but always happy to see us. BTW - there is photo that shows up - that is the deer stew which looked amazing - i just love schnitzel so have not tried yet.
