We regret that our restaurant is currently only serving our houseguests until further notice, we are so sorry about the inconvenience!
Since reviewing Bierhaeusle two years ago, we've visited a few times. It has been invariably excellent. Back in the area for the northern summer and made it here as quickly as possible. We weren't disappointed. The food, once again was delicious. The menu is not broad, but what they do is great. Very fair prices, friendly owners, food is great, wine is good and fairly priced .... I'm not sure what else you can ask for. Eat here. Thank you so much, we are very happy that you returned and were not disappointed, all the best wishes for you and perhaps see you again one day;))))

This restaurant is on a camp site. But don't let that put you off. The food was excellent. We both had rump steak. My husband had a pepper sauce with Rosti and I had onions and chips. The onions were a bit oily. But otherwise it was good. We both had dessert, fruit salad and ice cream and Cup Denmark - ice cream with hot chocolate sauce. The service was great and the price was very reasonable. If staying at Löffelschmeide this is a nice 10 minute walk along a well maintained path.

Visited here with German friends who are locals. The walk up to the restaurant on a sunny night was great. The local German band were practising in the bandstand which just added to the evening. On arrival greeted by Edith who was very friendly charming and hardworking. Ordered Schnitzel and it was fabulous. Beer and schnapps were great also. Enjoyed our evening so much went back a further two times during our stay.Well worth a visit and will return next time we are in the area.

Nice Lake View and most enjoyable local cuisine. Authentic Black Forest flair. English speaking staff is very friendly. We ordered the Waffle with salmon, a so called "vesper" with fresh home baked bread and a Black Forest Cake for dessert. It was all excellent. The restaurant also offers Schnitzel which looked good as well (our neighbors ordered). All dishes are from local suppliers. It is worth the money!

We've been coming here for 15 years. For most of that time it was good and reliable but in the last 3 years it has REALLY stepped up a notch. The décor is, well, like the décor you would expect from an old farm house in a Black Forest village. Charming. Lots of wood, etc, etc. The menu is broad and ticks all the boxes as regards staples, regional specialties and ingredients in season. The service is just right, not crawling all over you but also attentive to your needs. The food? Cracking good! Absolutely delicious. Fresh, well cooked, well seasoned. Yum. Upside: we dropped by before dinner to make a reservation and saw their cakes, tortes, etc. They looked first class. Conclusion: pay this place a visit. Lunch, dinner or for something sweet. You are most unlikely to be disappointed and very likely to leave with a big smile on your face.

This pub/restaurant probably typifies what you found in the Blackforest some years ago. The décor is, well, Blackforesty, pubby, the food is solid, tasty enough but not about to knock your socks off, the staff are natural and friendly. Upside are the Lenzkircher beers brewed on the premises. It us a good brewery and, as any beer lover knows, drinking at the âcellar doorâ is a good thing. Not knocking it, at all. Has a real place in my list if places to go. But you have to be in the right mood. Nice and relaxed, looking to hang out and gave a good beer and have a bite to eat while youâre at it. If yhat sounds your speed, youâll enjoy yourself.

We had dinner here the other night and were left unimpressed by the food. My steak was OK but was not hot enough and without the expected caramelisation on the outside that can make a steak especially good. My wife's Maultaschen were also just "OK". The kids were not at all happy with their Schnitzels. The salad buffet was particularly uninspiring. All in all. a disappointing experience.

Go to Loeffelschmiede for authentic local Black Forest food like trout. Freshly prepared dishes with seasonal touch (like asparagus in April/May). Nothing sophisticated but great local dishes with great taste. Excellent value for money. Great deserts - go for the Chocolate Fondant. Attentive and super-friendly service by members of the Helmle family. Clear go!
