My wife and I had lunch at this restaurant. The dining room was a bit old fashioned, but that may not be a negative if you are interested in something very traditional. My wife ordered the Schnitzel and I had the Sauerbraten. The former was average in quality and of standard size. The Sauerbraten was among the most tasteless I have ever had. The three thin slices appeared to be machine sliced and perhaps cooked in some kind of casing that kept the exterior in shape. The service was friendly and the dishes were delivered within a reasonable time. The prices were a bit higher than normal, but not excessively so.Alas, the restaurant was no better than average. Based on that, we would look for an alternative the next time we would eat in Kitzingen

I stayed here for my company. It was a very clean cozy hotel room. The thing that stood out the most was the amazing customer service. It is a family run hotel and I have never felt so welcome at any other hotel. Really I think the management here really understand how to treat a customer well. The small restaurant was delicious and well stocked. The customer service is so good here I would not stay anywhere else is Kitzingen. I really loved my stay and I am sure I will be back.

Consigliato!

The hotel is centrally located in Kitzingen, has it's own parking lot and is very close to a gas station and it is walking distance from the city center. The service is very friendly. The food is exceptional.

This restaurant is one of the best places in the world, friendly staff, affordable prices and I'd be more than happy to have a "Knoblauch steak" now.... The owner is a great cook. but also a nice guy, the beer always good and cold, the Wineschorle tastes great and A Schoppen, or three are always a good way to enjoy life. Anybody who's visiting this place won't be disappointed. I really miss your food a lot and hope that i can make it to you guys in October. Keep up the great job and keep some beers cold, please. Special thanks to Juergen and his team from Sisaket/ Thailand. .

Immer wieder gerne!

Stayed in the hotel, so i walked down to see the restaurant and ended up eating a nice rib-eye steak with german style baked potatoes. Good service and got the steakhouse saus recommended, which i can confirm is good if you like a little spicy saus.

I hadn't been to Germany for many years and was positively surprised about the new owner, the quality of the food, drinks, the great and always cold beer and the friendly atmosphere. I grew up in Kitzingen but moved to Thailand 15 years ago where I'm happily married and teaching English to Thai kids from primary to secondary level. Please don't misunderstand me when I'm writing that too many Turkish Doener Kebab ( or similar) places have popped up like unwanted mushrooms. Gambrinus is and always was a fantastic place where guests have the full package.1. Friendly staff, great food, from little snacks to decent German food. 2. Tourists who vitis Kitzingen should try theor Weinschorle, or a good glass of red, or white wine. "In vino veritas." 3. The place is opposite the Roman catholic church and not far away from the river "Main", always good for a walk. It's a perfect place for people seeking companionship, playing a game of chess, or backgammon, or just having a nice chat with some great people who go to that place every day. I'd be there every day, but 10,000 km away, an expensive breakfast, brunch, or dinner. Thanks to the staff of Gambrinus, i truly hope that i can make it in October when the Thai schools are closed. Keep up the good job and never forget to smile. i t keeps you young. Chock Dee- ( Viel Glueck) und ganz liebe Gruesse aus Sisaket/. Thailand

We had dinner in this hotel/ restaurant with friends and we were very pleased with the cosy atmosphere. The staff , wearing traditional dresses, was absolutely top. They were very friendly, knew exactly what type of wine they were offering and what they were talking about and they gave us a very good advice. Classic kitchen with local (frankische) style. Wine of the area too.The food they were serving was delicious. We can absolutely recommend this restaurant. It is a hotel also and we have the feeling that you will not be disappointed when staying overnight.
