As much as I enjoy the great Kölsch brewpubs in the Old Town it's just so nice to get out and about from the centre and visit some of the more local pubs and Ehrenfelder Brauhaus was one such place we visited.A cool interior,heavy wooden tables and chairs,great decor and furnishings and a really cosy look to it.This brewpub serves traditional German meals and delicious beers by staff who make you so welcomed in their pub.We were here on a Friday evening and this place was busy,We got a nice table were a very pleasant member of staff took our order of a couple of beers and we opted to have a beer widely available throughout Cologne namely Sion Kölsch and these delicious beers were served iced cold and sparkling and we just chilled out with our delicious beers and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. The beer was outstandingly good and served in the famous 0.2L glasses that you find in most every pub and bar in this vibrant city. We ended up staying here for 3 beers each before we moved on and for a first time visit we were very impressed with the great pub.Ehrenfelder Brauhaus is really easy to locate by jumping the Ubahn or tram number 3.4.13 to stop VenloerstraÃe/Gürtel and walk down VenloerstraÃe were you will find this brewpub.Opening hours are;Monday to Thursday,4.30pm till Midnight. Friday & Saturday,4.30pm till last person to leave.Sunday,4.30pm till Midnight.

then you have to go to the grill coach in Hürth Park... and has in my opinion the best Currysausage in Germany ... this business is unique .... the staff is super friendly ... super fast in the service ... super clean ... they make sure that the places where you eat are always clean ... different types of sausages ... delicious bread ... always the same quality ... great ... I think I was already 30 - 40 times here .. It's always delicious ... Thanks for a great snack ...

Nettes Ambiente, guter Service, leckere Speisen, aber nach dem voll durchgestylten Internetauftritt haben wir es doch etwas "festlicher" erwartet. Nicht, dass wir nicht zufrieden waren, aber dem eigenen Auftritt wurden sie einfach nicht gerecht. Es ist alles etwas bodenständiger und von der Auswahl der Speisen nicht so wertig wie erhofft. Vielleicht hatten wir einfach nur eine falsche Erwartung.

Wir waren jetzt zum wiederholten mal bei Adriano. Das Lokal ist recht einfach eingerichtet und erinnert ein wenig an eine Taverne im Süden. Aber das ist auch absolut zweitrangig denn die Pizzen sind einfach ein Gedicht. Egal welche man sich aussucht, Boden und Belag sind Spitze. Der Service ist nett und zuvorkommend.

This is a small specialist Belgian / German restaurant in a suburban town called Frechen. Selected from previous T-A reviews and not disappointed. The crab croquette salad starter was truly historic. The only minor complaint is that the frites were not as Belgian asa the rest of the meal. Would certainly go back.

I had seen the reviews for Sonder and thought we would try it. Despite the long walk from our hotel by the river we found the restaurant easily and were seated early with a friendly welcome by a young man who said he was brought up in Eastern Germany so apologised for his excellent English! He explained the menu to us and we had a couple of courses, shared a desert and had a bottle of wine, a beer and two bottles of water. The food was brilliant, the home cured mackerel, the bulgar stuffed peppers and the marinaded salmon with glass noodles were all fantastic as was a citrus creme brulee. Good value too at about 85 euros. Would highly recommend.

We made advanced reservations for a Sunday evening and were very pleased that we chose this restaurant. It was a few minutes walk from the train, away from the tourist center of Koeln. We were promptly seated and given a menu with a variety of seasonal and classic Schnitzel dishes. I ordered the pumpkin and my partner ordered the mushroom cream sauce. We both thought they were the best Schnitzel dishes we'd ever had. We don't eat veal, but the pork was delicious and tender. The breading was light and crunchy - almost like a Southern USA cornmeal texture. It was truly heavenly. The portion was incredibly large and we wish we'd shared one - however, it was so delicious we ate a lot more than we thought we would! We definitely would recommend this place and would gladly return when again in Koeln.
