Wie jedes Jahr sind wir auch in diesem Jahr wieder im Rossknecht eingekehrt. Es gibt jeden Tag eine Tageskarte mit den Spezialitäten der Saison und man ist gut beraten, sich an diese Karte zu halten. Eine wunderbare flädlesuppe vorweg für faire 3,50 â¬. Der zwiebelrostenbraten mit Salat für 19,50⬠(2017): sehr gutes Fleisch und wie bestellt Medium. Andere nehmen dafür 10⬠mehr. Toll auch immer die wildgerichte. Die Bedienung ist super freundlich und flink. Die Chefin steht am Herd. Ihr Mann kümmert sich um die Gäste. Ein Besuch, der sich sicher lohnt.

Fachwerk 11 is just... well I don't know.... We certainly did not expect to find something of the kind here. But we did and had a wonderful lunch.The host is very kind and only serves local organic, freshly home made food. Of high quality and taste too. And this for a very reasonable price! So if you pass by Salem and want to have a break in a cosy environment, you know where to go now

This is the kind of charming, friendly, famil-run hotel that one dreams about. Reck's is located in Salem, about a 10 minute drive from Lake Constance and we chose it because we were travelling with our two dogs. We were allocated a spacious and comfortable room on the ground floor that opened out directly onto a terrace and the lovely hotel gardens, with views over the surrounding countryside. The dogs were in heaven, and so were we! Reck's restaurant has a well-deserved reputation for the quality of its locally sourced ingredients and cooking. We had two terrific dinners and the breakfasts were outstanding. However I would also strongly recommend Reck's as a place to stay. The delights of Lake Constance are easily accessible, while the rural location is peaceful, untouristy and lovely (scattered with lakes, hopfields and vineyards and endless cross-country walking paths). All in all, Reck's is a gem: the complete antithesis of large, corporate and touristy hotels. The service was exceptional â friendly, warm and knowledgeable, and every aspect of rooms and restaurant were totally professional.

Excellent traditional restaurant with a twist. Fine cooking using fresh local ingredients including a good choice of game and fish. Superb friendly service witha smile. Vast array of local wines and beers. This really is a restaurant not to miss. Always busy so you must book. All the locals will know about the restaurant but beacause its off the beaten track you wont find many tourists--maybe thats a good thing!!!

TripAdvisor - the address is wrong and very misleading here. Based on your coordinates, we booked this to complement a stay at Heiligekreuztal. The address is actually a house, and no one in town had heard of the Restaurant, only one with the same name in nearby Wiflingen.Turns out this Restaurant is in Frickingen, Altheim,(post code 88699) yet you show it in Altheim postcode 88499 on your map.This resulted in a very embarassing experience where I had a very frustrating encounter with the Restaurant trying to find where they were, which was nowhere near where we were. It was disappointing as I was really looking Forward to go there - the Restaurant we ended up was nice, but more in a country style then what we had been anticipating

Ein schönes Haus, das wunderbar in den Ort passt. Sehr netter und kompetenter Empfang. Alles ist sauber und wer hier arbeitet ist kompetent. Die Zimmereinrichtung ausreichend groà und sauber. WiFi funktioniert sehr gut, und parken kann man kostenloseKlasse.

Echte, badische ehrliche Dorfgaststätte mit leckerer Küche und vernünftigen Preisen. Rehragout und Fettuccine mit Rehbolognese überraschend aber sehr lecker. Netter Wirt und ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden, kommen gerne wieder.

Great guesthouse .Very comfortable clean and welcoming. Easy to choose from extensive dinner menu and generous breakfast.Church bells are the only noise to be heard but didn't stop us sleeping.

We got here rather late in the after noon and did not expect to be able to get food from the kitchen. What a surpise. The food was excellent! Origonal. The waitress was very helpful. We had just starters. The people across from us had meals. Theirs were huge. They also looked good, but ours were delicious and enough for us. The plates were nicely presented by the smiling waitress. They even have rooms that were reasonable but we had other places to go.

Wir haben nicht reserviert und hatten Glück noch einen Tisch zu bekommen. Ich würde eine Reservierung dringend empfehlen. Denn dass das Restaurant so voll war, erschloss sich uns schnell. Sehr freundlicher Service und eine fantastische Küche. Suppen, Fisch und Fleisch waren vorzüglich, der Salat knackig und mit der richtigen Menge Dressing angemacht. Man schmeckt das hier frisch und mit hoher Qualität gekocht wird. Dabei sind die Preise sehr fair.Ich finde es gut das es hier auch kleine Gerichte gibt, finde aber auch das für die Vegetarier/Veganer noch was getan werde könnte. Ansonsten, Top!
