We offer delecious breakfast and main courses starting with soups, salads, quiches, tartines and not ending with tarts and fancy cakes. Outside, our enchanted beergarden takes you away you to the provence and its people.
I ate here while staying in the town. The food was really good and i enjoyed the place. A clean establishment with really good service even though it was busy.I would definetly visit again if i was in the area. Good value for money.
I can recommend this place to anyone with pets where they will be made very welcome and also there is a play area inside for children.

Close to the ruins of the Heldenburg with a fantastic view above the valley of the Leine this locations serves great food to an unbeatable price. A little away from downtown Einbeck it is worth the effort and also a nice 3 miles walk from the city centre. To sum it up: Worth going, worth eating.

We visited the Hasenjäger for a Christmassy family meal in late December. We'd booked a table considerably in advance, specifying that we needed space for 7 adults and a high chair. When we arrived, we were seated in a corner booth that was almost completely enclosed by benches so that there was no space for the high chair other than the spot from where all the food was served, meaning hot plates would have been lifted over his head. Even if we'd have chosen to seat him here, the seat supplied had no straps and would therefore have been very risky to use.So our nine-month old baby had to move from lap to lap for the duration of our meal, which was hugely inconvenient for us trying to eat, and also with so many dangerous items within easy reach from the table. The food was fine. We had a Christmas Goose for four and three a la carte meals. The goose itself was succulent and very well cooked. It was served with dumplings (good), gravy (very nice), a baked apple (which was at best lukewarm) and red cabbage. The red cabbage was the saltiest I've ever been served - almost inedible. The other main courses were good as far as I could tell. We were not able to stay for dessert. We'd waited for over an hour for the main course and the baby was getting too tired/ bored. All in all, you'll like the Hasenjäger if you are into 1980s fake Austrian decor, very patient and not too fussed about modern conveniences. The food is solid and traditional without being outstanding. The service is good enough if you can ignore the inconvenient setup. We probably wouldn't return with a baby though!

Firstly being greeted by the sign with the words "welcome to the town of the brewery" and secondly walking through the pretty streets with the lovely renovated wood frame houses makes you hungry and thirsty. One of the old houses happens to be the Brodhaus. It has a few tables outside (not the stable ones) but a set more inside. Both looked very clean and inviting but the sun made the game and we decided to sit outside with our beer and food. The amicable service helped us through the menu which, not in writing, included three kids menus which just suited our kids: fish fingers with fried potatoes, Schnitzel with fried potatoes and Spaghetti with tomato & cream sugo.We had the Mustard Schnitzel and pig roast and both was delicious. The gravy was a little bit on the standard size and it really got jelly when it got cold. But it was good food and I recommend it to everyone. The menu seemed to include some of the more experimental German style food like asparagus with tomato sauce and Spaghetti so there might be something for the adventurer, too. The wait staff was a little inattentive and forgot to sell some more drinks to us in the sun and we had to go inside to get someone to pay.

This is a familyrun restaurant, in the hotel "Der Schwan". Ute Wicke is the chef, and she makes all the food herself. The food is fantastick and the restaurant is reccommended by Michelin and Feinschmeker, among others. We had the six course surprise dinner at 62 Euro, and it was worth every penny. They also serve a la carte. The presentation is great, and every dish is a little piece of art. It also tastes fantastic!! I will strongly reccomend a visit to this restaurant and we will surely come back.
