Find out what German restaurants to try in Dusseldorf. The capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Dusseldorf is a regional economic powerhouse straddling the banks of the Rhine River. Altstadt is not just Dusseldorf's lovely old town, but also where the city's nightlife is based and where Altbier, its native dark beer, is plentiful. Dusselforfians take their beer seriously. Königsallee (Ko to the locals), Dusseldorf's famous shopping street, has many high-end stores. And the Museum Kunst Palast has one of the Rhineland's best art collections.

My husband and I made this our first stop during our short weekend away celebrating our 24th anniversary. What a surprise to find poor reviews based on their cash only requirement! As a British American, I always research the local customs before making a comment based on my norms...it is what makes traveling so exciting! We had an awesome experience here with efficient service, a tick on the beer mat for each beer and the price of our appetizer as well...very clear! The cheese with bread we ordered was perfect. Do come along to this place, but ready to pay with cash. It felt wonderful to experience what a traditional Altbeir brewery is truly like.

The Brasserie "1806" fine dining restaurant combines attentive service in a relaxing atmosphere. The panoramic windows offer a beautiful view over Düsseldorf's Old Town and the eclectic and vibrant area of the German metropolis beside the river Rhine. Hea
Our nice concierge at the Medici hotel helped us make a reservation since it was Friday night.Very polished, airy and inviting ambience. From the moment we walked in Samuel the Maitre Dâ made us feel very welcome. If you go get, a cocktail or three;) The cocktail menu itself is a work of art (manga/anime to be precise). The very skilled Mixologist, I believe his name is Savvas, is happy to come over and make recommendations and answer questions. Theyâve won competitions with their drinks and Iâm not surprised. The ones we had were all delicious but our favorite was the Origami. It comes with banana bread. And our favorite item of the meal was the incredible, silky and bursting with flavor Wild Prawn Laksa. Think decadent bisque with a Malaysian spin as it uses coconut milk and curry to transcend a mere bisque;) Definitely a must try!Again thanks to Samuel, Savvas & Niclas for the fantastic service and I want that Laksa recipe. The chef out did himself there. Truly the best Iâve ever had!Dear guest,Thank you very much for your visit and for your magnificent review! It was our teamsâ pleasure to welcoming you to our restaurant, the Brasserie â1806â, and to the âCapella Bar & Cigar Loungeâ, and to create a perfect taste experience for you. To achieve this, our kitchen and bar teams develop recipes with special ingredients, e.g. syrup of home-made banana-bread. We will gladly provide some tips and tricks, just contact us or visit us again! You will be most welcome. With kind regards from the Breidenbacher Hof, a Capella hotel,Cyrus Heydarian (General Manager)and team

Jahrhundert. I
Nice high quality restaurant in the middle of Altstadt! Friendly and professional service, very good food (German/French style) and an extensive wine list with a lot of very good German wines (at fair prices). We really enjoyed the evening!!

Vossen is the place you go when you're looking for something typical german: the atmosphere, the food, the beer. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. I was alone and they arranged for me a portion of a bigger table, where a couple was having dinner. That's something in Italy never happens, and I enjoy it every time it occurs to me. I ordered a Gulasch suppe and a Nurnberg wurst and a weissen beer: everything was good. The bill was very reasonable: â¬17,90. Highly recommended.

A place for pork knuckles. A small place but very busy place. Service was prompt and friendly. We love the âSchweine Haxeâ or grilled pork knuckles. Itâs fresh, soft, tasty, and delicious. Very cramped inside but itâs the perfect place to have it. Highly recommended.

Lovely restaurant with excellent German cuisine (menus in English, just ask) friendly staff and nice beer, ate there twice because first time the Häxe Pork Knuckle defeated one of our party on the first visit, so he wanted to tackle it again, it beat him again!

We had diner here with 5 guys. It was a bit late (approx 2100) but the experience was really nice and the food also. Nice interaction with the ladies (mother, daughter) that run this family style german restaurant. Short walk from Maritim hotel if you want a better Schnitzel for a much better price

This restaurant is a true find. Located in a quite residential neighborhood not far from the Hafen area. Unassuming entrance but inside is a small relaxed and sophisticated ambiance. The wait staff is friendly, professional and pleasant. Nice menu and decent wine list. The splender is in the quality of each item on the menu. Not your typical German food, fresh Herbs and high quality ingredients establishes the basis of their menu. I had an outstanding pumpkin soup and ordered their recommended special which was fresh mussels, both were exceptional. Desert was a treat thanks to cleverly prepared Estragon sorbet.... The pride in the food preparation and presentation were obvious... Bottom line; nice ambiance, friendly staff, wonderful food at a fair price makes Byliny an outstanding dining experience !!!

This Bistro is always full because the food is great, the atmosphere friendly and busy and (considering the quality of the food and cooking) the value is great.I recommend arriving a bit early (5-6pm) otherwise you have to wait in line. Since the place is always full, be ready to share your table with others (generally nice people).I had the potato soup, superb. Take at least the medium size. Then the Dusseldorfer steak (great), then the triple sorbets (as great as they look in the picture). My table-mates (complete strangers) enjoyed the huge Wiener Schnitzel and Red Salmon, so I think these could be recommended too. This restaurant is worth a special trip to Dusseldorf. I shall go there again.

Eating in this restaurant is magnificent, the surroundings of Zurheide's Edeka belong to the next stage, simply the best. Never seen such a food ... well how shall I put it...show, factory, supermarket: it's beyond words! Setzkasten is situated downstairs next to the Mozzarella-bar, friendly staff, nice menu, fine cooking. Just try it and amaze yourself in this food-heaven in Dusseldorf in Germany.
