Nothing major to write about here but that they have a decent offering of German cuisine. In case you like to eat Beef and Pork and are a typical German cuisine enthusiast, you may like this place. We had ordered a Fried Chicken with Potato salad and a Pork Schnitzel with fries. Would say that the taste was okay and nothing great.Recommended if you are a German cuisine fan.

We were there after few hours of hiking in the Bavarian Canada. First good point : it is open all day long. The location is welcoming and looks like a meeting point for travelers. Fantastic beer (produced on site) and typical Bavarian cuisine. Price is ok. Recommend!

Since our last visit the management of Zum Dorfwirt has changed, prices have increased. Somewhere to eat but nothing special. Good for visiting the Glas Dorf.

Kesselfleisch or Wellfleisch is basically boiled pork, already cut into portions. The local Gasthaus zur Eiche serves this during the wintertime approximately every for weeks on a Friday.Served with fresh baked bread, chopped onions and saurkraut, there are usually three servings, the first bowl contains sliced pork, like a cutlet without the bone, the second contains parts from the inside, liver, heart, kidneys, and the third round is lean pork slices, more than enough for everybody.Naturally there is plenty of the local Falter beer to drink, and a small glass of schnapps is part of the price. Cost is brilliant at â¬6 plus the beer. Another reason to visit Drachselsried

First of all I would like to explain that I am from The Netherlands, which means that English is not my native language. In advance I would like to apologies for any language and spelling errors in my review. I choose to write my reviews in English so many people can read or translate them to their own language. This place is located on a hill, 3 car minutes from the center of Bodenmais, with a very nice view over Bodenmais. In front of the terrace you will find many different walking trails into the mountains. The food is simple, fresh but above all very tasteful. Because of the type of reviews on Trip advisor we were afraid to visit a large restaurant but we were very happy that we end up in a small local place. On some days there is live music. On the menu there all also different type of vegetarian dishes like the Pilzpfanne (mushrooms, different vegetables and cooked and than baked knudels). I am a meat eater but I can recommend the Pilzpfanne. Great looks, taste and bite!We paid for a Holzschweinesteak with vegetables and baked potatoes, one Pilzpfanne, 0,5 liter Appellimo and 0,5 liter beer only ⬠28,90 (without the tip we gave our waiter off course).
Sad when a restaurant has a better reputation than it deserves. The best part was the salad bar. Very limited choice and small portions. A group meeting, and most were very unhappy with the size of the main dish. Restaurant staff were pleasant and provided good service.A "Wellness Hotel" restaurant that needs improvements in the kitchen. Very nice surroundings, not my choice again.
A family run restaurant and hotel set in the lovely Bavarian Forest. Friendly and offers good quality food at very reasonable prices. Great in the summer when we visited with friends and also has the resources for the winter holiday visitor.
Gutsgasthof Frath is a great place to eat and stay, Pleasant walks from Drachselsried, Bodenmais and Grafenried through the Bavarian Forest. Driving is also easy, with plenty of parking.Good menu with many local specialities, local beer. Closed from 1st November until near to Christmas

A real "Wanderers" cabin set in the Nature Park of the Bavarian Forest, 2 hours east of Munich. 5km from Drachselsried. A winter and summer paradise, Very popular for over-night stops and has very good winter cross country skiing. Take the local ski bus in season, says a lot of hard driving.

The Schroetter family owned restaurant, has a new menu with very good quality and reasonable priced meals. The local Falter beer is served. Try the freshly baked cakes and coffee in the afternoon. The restaurant is closed on Wedneday. Also provides hotel rooms and apartments.Situated a 15 minute walk from Arnbruck, in the Nature Park of the Bavarian Forest.
