A bit in the boonies but definitively worth the miles, is this charming cottage looking restaurant. A small hand written menu leads to a very fine selection of local seasonal ingredients. Fan of lamb beware: a taste close to "présalé", a must in southern Bavaria. For the coffee fans, do not skip the espresso, graciously presented with a light subtle coffee mousse with its jelly cap.Last, being warmly welcome by the chef and his wife made us feel right away part of one of those special places in Bavaria. A definite must go again.

Well, though it is in the middle of nowhere we gather here for our monthly reunion. I must say that dinner is always good. Not far from the airport. Take a taxi, grab some lunch or dinner. They even have rooms for the night. Cheers!!

As an American living in the Upper Bavarian countryside, I have been to this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is family run, use fresh local products whenever possible and also run their own adjoining butcher shop. Plus the prices never cease to astonish me, an excellent value and well worth a trip.

We had a pleasant meal with great staff and reasonably-priced. Try the Slyrs whiskey (Bavarian - really smooth). We had a great night's sleep in the hotel and a spot-on Fruestick (breakfast) next morning to set us up for the day to follow.

You have to eat meat there as it is actually a steak house. Beside traditional beer you can taste a solid wine. Atmosphere is good and the service fine. For small or bigger groups...
