What else to expect in a "theeschenkerij"... a "high tea" of course!Great location in the forest, seems to be relatively new and with an enthusiastic though partly inexperienced staff. They served us sweet and savory snacks and a great selection of tea to chose from (and some coffee). They also provided a box to take some of the sweet snacks home; highly appreciated.

We went here on a Saturday to try out their weekly all you can eat chicken deal. For 12,50 euro a person you get a large pan with chicken on your table which contains wings and legs. Along with that you get an Asian chicken dish. Also some chicken satay, a small bowl with fries, mayonaise and you may use the simple salad bar. Any of these items you can have restocked as often as you want without extra charge. So not expensive. The taste of the food is pretty dull though. It also takes quite some time before the chicken is served, so think ahead of time if you want to have extra of something.Staff is friendly, but it would be nice if they check a little more often if all is okay.Nice to have tried, but we won't go back again probably.

We went here via a Groupon. Finding the place was the biggest issue since our Garmin took us down a road that ended into a bike path where we could not continue and had to back-track and find another route there (we could almost see the place from where we got stuck).Resturant is located on a very nice looking piece of land and I can imagine during the Summer, it is beautiful there!Our Groupon was an appetizer/main course/dessert of our choice from the menu (pics will follow once this is approved).Appetizers were very nice (Carpaccio & Vitello Tonato), the main course wasnt as good (Spare Ribs & Gamba's). The dessert was a little upsetting, but we should have each picked something different instead of both picking the Tiramisu. To me, it was like a glass full of whipped cream with a cookie in the middle of it and some cookie crumbs on the top. Next time it will be the creme brulee.The place is VERY nicely decorated. Fireplace in the middle of the room, drop celing with very smartly decorated covers. LOTS of windows to see outside at the lake also.Worth a try to see if you enjoy it.
