Serving a selection of fine ales, wines and spirits as well as soft drinks in a warm and cosy environment, all are welcome to the Queen's Head, including children and well behaved dogs.
Had heard good things about this place and friends in Wymondham invited us to join them for dinner.Friendly and efficient staff but very noisy environment. My whitebait and steak were fine but some of the other meals left much to be desired. My wife described her chicken supreme as average and our friends chicken had to be sent back as it was cremated. How can a chef possibly serve that up ?

Owners for more than thirty years, Anton Wimmer and his family pride themselves in their reputation which has stood the test of time as they have adapted to this ever-changing industry. One of the original pioneers of gastro pub dining in Norfolk, The Kin
Booked into here for 5 nights, in spite of arriving late, was shown to my room, which was excellent. All the necessary facilities were there. The bar/ restaurant is is excellent, food varied, not expensive but excellent. Will definitely make a detour to revisit. The location of the pub is wonderful, adjacent to a river that is used by the locals for dipping into. I was here during the latest heatwave, but even when the weather is not as hot as it currently is - itâs an ideal spot to watch the wildlife. Do not hesitate to eat, drink in a lovely country pub. Having read all the glowing reviews we recently ate at The Buck. The pub is lovely, the staff kind and attentive but the food was distinctly average. We have eaten better pork ,better burgers, been served better house wine for similar prices within the area. We were disappointed at the very average offerings and will not return.I guess after many great reviews you can set yourself up for a fall? As other review testify on the whole people love the food and it's the first time in 5 years I have had someone mention our house wines. Love to know what you drank. It is of course horses for courses but I stand by our food and drinks offering and hundreds of happy customers agree. You are of course entitled to your own view. Maybe one day give us another go, I bet I can change your mind. Thanks for taking the time to write.
