there's a reason why they've won "best local pub of the year 2017", everytime we go there you open the door to hear banter and laughter, its a happy pub with friendly staff, the bar menu is really good with something for everyone - even the little ones, for smokers- there's a comfortable covered seating area so you're not feeling left out in the cold, there's 2 tv's showing sporting events but they don't take over and ruin the atmosphere, if you like a good pint of Guinness then this is the pub for you,

Picture the scene. Itâs a gloriously sunny day in September. You have visited the Hook lighthouse, taken a stroll along the beach and now itâs time for lunch. Bowling along the country lanes you come across The Templarâs Inn. Result and there is even room in the car park. You sit on the wooden terrace, sipping a glass of rose until the waiter presents you with a platter of food that would t blush in the finest French restaurant. Sublime. And it was cheap as chips. I think I must have imagined it.

We usually have lunch or dinner at Mary Barry's Bar & Restaurant in Kilmore, everytime we visit relatives in County Wexford, Ireland. During our recent 2 1/2 weeks vacation, September 2019, we visited twice this restaurant. It is located along R739, Road to Kilmore Quay, County Wexford. There are plenty of parking spaces on both side of the road. Their menu is quite diverse & interesting. The food is very good. They serve generous portions. Highly recommendable.

Two of us dropped in for an early lunch. The bar was already full so we took a table in the back that is not as atmospheric, but serves the purpose. The food was very good and service attentive.Children friendly, so take that whatever way you like!
