I travel around the world for a living a occasionally finding the right combination of food, drink, and atmosphere. This was it a friend recommended this place and it was everything he said. Family owned and operated by Michael Volonko and his wife and daughter Maike and Pia.We stopped by with 9 of us no notice. They moved some tables around to accommodate us. From the minute we sat down we were treated like kings, the restaurant was busy. We all orders drinks which came quickly for European restaurants. Orders were taking by the owner ( his daughter told us that fact later) we all ordered different meals and not one of us was disappointed. I had what was recommended by staff. It was incredible. Pork breaded with with the best combination of seasoning I could ever imagine. Family recipe I was told. After we recovered from eating big portions we had a few drinks I was honored to meet the the family mom who was not just a good cook but a superb chef. Well I just wanted in life when you meet good people doing a great job like the Volonko's go in and you will not be disappointed.

Das Bauerncafe bietet eine sehr groÃe Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen, alles hausgemacht. Ausserdem kann man hier auch frisches, hausgemachtes Brot kaufen, Kuchen und Torten aus eigener Produktion, sowie Marmeladen und Liköre. Hiervon haben wir uns kürzlich den Marzipan-Likör mit nach Hause genommen: Sehr lecker! Empfehlenswert sind hier auch die Schnitzel, sowie die leckeren Bratkartoffeln und Pommes aber auch die Gulaschsuppe ist sehr gut. Als Nachtisch kann ich die Dampfnudel mit viel VanillesoÃe empfehlen (u.a. gibt es des weiteren noch Leberkäse, Haxenfleisch, Steaks, Currywürste und für den kleinen Hunger auch z.B. Hawaii-, oder das Bauern-Toast). Wir kommen gerne hierher. Das Ambiente ist einfach und rustikal, passend für ein Bauerncafe eben. Die Preise sind sehr gut. Nachteilig wirkt sich im Sommer der unmittelbar angrenzende Reiterhof aus, da gibt es im Lokal leider schonmal sehr viele Fliegen. Morgens wird von Montag bis Samstag ein Frühstücksbuffet angeboten für derzeit knapp 8 Euro inklusive Kaffee.Fazit: Aufgrund des sehr guten Essens zu günstigen Preisen gehen wir gerne hierhin.Parkplätze sind ein paar vor und weitere hinter bzw. seitliches des Hauses vorhanden. ec-Kartenzahlung ist möglich.

Re-visited the restaurant after more than 20 years; the food was even better than we remembered. The service and value for money made this a visit to remember. The staff (Hannah and Fleur) were amazing and we would thoroughly recommend eating here.
