Found this pub while searching for an alternative place to eat after being disappointed with the food at the Jamaica Inn. A warm welcome from the friendly staff and an extensive with lots of specials as well to choose from. Portions were large and food very good, and not a bad price either. So good we went back the following evening as well.

After reading other reviews and noticing that they use locally sorced produce we decided to try out the breakfast in the cafe while staying in the area. We where greeted by very helpful staff who helped us with our order. Our breakfast arrived very promptly and the taste of the food was excellent. We'll certainly look forward to paying another visit the next time we're back in Cornwall .

The AA 5 star, 2 Rosette rated 17th-century Port Gaverne Restaurant & Hotel is nestled in a beautiful secluded cove on North Cornwallâs dramatic coast. Enjoy seasonal, star-quality food inspired by the bounty on our doorstep. Relax in our traditional old
Well yes this is a five star hotel, but if you are used to the big city hotels then you maybe in for a shock. This is a very old building, so a very, very old hotel. Tiny stairs and lots of rooms in strange places, a bit of a rabbit warren. Great feeling though. Staff great, meals really good, rooms comfortable and clean and well serviced. Felt a little bit like a step back in time but fun for all that. Thanks for a great stay.

We are a community led village pub focusing on the things that make a good pub great: quality food made from fresh locally sourced produce, the best kept ales, music, games and a whole lot of fun.
We stopped hear for lunch. Lovley pub food ok but very expencive. Asked for no salad on two meals chabbacha (sorry about spelling)with chicken bacon and cheese, when i came had salad on both. Told the waitress who didnt look to happy to take it back to the kitchen. Then we had to wait for them to come back for 15 mins at which point they were cold. Other meal was jacket potatoe which was over cooked and wasnt very hot. Had 2pints of coke which cost £7.00 which i thought was very dear for a soft drink. It turned out to be a busy lunchtime service but only 2 staff working felt very sorry for them.
