Absolutely delicious food, my favourite is the tuna nicotine which comes with a tuna steak cooked to perfection or steak frites a thinly cut soft tasty steak with garlic butter sauce being my favourite sauce. I ahem coeliac disease and they cater excellently to my gluten free diet, little flags on my food to certify its gluten free and my order taken seriously, they even have gluten free bread so you can have pate or a few other starters, pudding is more limited there ice cream and another cold dessert option but nothing special. overall excellent place to eat and the particular location in Windsor is beautiful set on the river side.

The Boatman is proud to be Windsor's only proper pub on The Thames with uninterrupted views of the river overlooking Eton Bridge and the fascinating waterfront life. The Boatman has an all-weather terrace with a retractable roof in case of inclement weath
I would have given this 5 stars based on the pub, location, quality of the roast and the waiting staff. However, the lady who appeared to be the front of house manager (a blonde lady with a very officious manner) really spoiled what otherwise was a lovely lunch. Between our group we had all travelled 1-2 hours to meet up. The first of us arrived 35 minutes early for our reservation and were seated. Within 5 minutes she felt the need to hassle us on two occasions about when the rest of the party would be arriving, because they needed the table back within 1h45 minutes (not mentioned when we booked by phone). We explained that our booking actually wasnât for another 30 minutes, so presumably our âtime limitâ wouldnât start running until then.... Everyone was seated within 5-10 minutes of the booking time (slightly delayed owing to changing a small baby), but no one came to take our order for another 15 minutes. Fine by us, but not by her apparently, as she accompanied the waiter to our table to aggressively enquire if we were ready to order and inform us (again!) about the cut off time for our table. We ordered immediately and food was out within 5 minutes. We managed mains and desserts within the remaining 1h15 minutes, and were presented with a bill bang on her âtime limitâ. However, she wasnât even happy to wait for all members of the group to return from the toilet, making the others collect up everyoneâs bags and coats and vacate the table for her next booking. Never seen anything like it - I can only assume theyâd overbooked, but what a shame her attitude and communication skills (or lack of) is letting down what is otherwise a lovely pub!Dear Hannah - thank you for your kind comments on the food and waiting staff, they were much appreciated. Our Area Manager is following up on your remarks regarding the 'blonde lady', however whatever the conclusion to his investigation, we apologise and action will be taken.

Went to the corner house for a roast with my family on Sunday evening, have to say that although the range of beers is impressive and the bar staff knowledgeable on the selection our experience was ruined by waiting 40 minutes for our main courses and a further 20 minutes for our desserts. The chef had run out of our first choice of dessert so we changed our order only to be told by the waitress that they had run out of toffee pudding as well. My daughter commented how she heard a chef shouting and swearing at a barman when she went to the toilet. All in all very disappointing and wonât be returning which is a shame as itâs by far the best beer range in Windsor.Hi DaveFirstly I would like to apologise for the experience you had with us and would like the opportunity to make it up to you. Unfortunately some Sundayâs can be incredibly busy and with only having a small kitchen it can sometimes take longer to get larger tables food out to them. However running out of multiple desserts is unacceptable along with aggressive behaviour. A meeting was held on Tuesday just gone and your feedback was highlighted to everyone concerned and I can assure you that this will not happen again. Please contact us at: [email protected] to arrange how we can make up for your bad experience. Kind RegardsPete

More than a gastro pub, the food was amazing, beautiful ingredients lovingly prepared & cooked. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and obviously passionate about the food & wine she was serving. All of it was delicious but the deer was stunning and loved the Bon Bon we were given when we had our pre dinner drinks

Believed to date back to the 12th century, The Ostrich on the old Bath to London road, close to Heathrow Airport and Terminal 5, is said to be England's third oldest inn. It's certainly a very fine example of its kind, combining everything you'd expect in
Nice inn with pub atmosphere, good quality beer. Selection of steaks, meats, veggie and the usual fish and chip/burger options all served tastefully and slightly up market. Efficient service. Booking is recommended but we were OK walking in. Great atmosphere. Would be good for large groups. Very convenient for terminal 5 hotels as an alternative to the hotel restaurant.
