We were attracted to this place by its nice modern decor and the promise of a well priced lunch menu. It turned out to be an appalling experience where the staff had no sense at all of trying to please their customers or put misunderstandings right. The attitude was 'take it or leave it' when we complained about not delivering what we had ordered. We paid, we left and will never return. Whoever runs this place needs to understand that looking after polite customers who ask to have something put right requires a polite and understanding response - not rudeness and intransigence. The wine was OK though.

Ãtablissement situé dans une bâtisse de charme en bord de mer. Dans un cadre cosy, le restaurant accueille 40 personnes en intérieur et une vingtaine en terrasse. Nous sommes ouverts toute l'année sauf en janvier et Novembre.
After checking out other local options, we came to this family-run restaurant to celebrate the birthdays of our two daughters-in-law with all the family including Sam aged two and a half. As we were too many to accommodate inside, we had two tables pushed together at the far end of the covered terrace where Sam could be contained without disturbing other diners. He was served first with chicken nuggets and chips (not advertised) which kept him busy while the rest of us tucked into beautifully cooked steak, duck, fish and veal dishes, followed by some delicious desserts. The service was welocming, prompt and friendly, the wine was good and the ambience great. it was also very good value. We had such a good time that we booked to come again on the last night of our holiday (we were within walking distance, just up the road). The second time was just as good, and we noticed that although some of the desserts were the same, they were all presented differently from our first experience, which shows that the chef takes pride in his work.

You are more likely to find respectable, even superior food, in many (but not all) French hotels than in many other countries. Like this one! In a downtown which is clearly struggling economically, plenty of empty store fronts, this hotel is a bastion of good taste and refinement. This is a mid-range restaurant with cheerful, capable service, a small but balanced selection of fish, fowl and meats, a suitable wine list, including some nice half bottles. Our duck was as fine as that we have had at much fancier stand alone restaurants in France. The dining isn't and shouldn't be limited to hotel guests. It was an especially welcome choice on a Monday evening when it seems 90% of the local restaurants are closed. Prices are quite reasonable for the high level of culinary artistry. They deserve a higher position on the TA listings-which will only come about if more folks, including the local residents, give them a try.
