This is a quirky and hip burger place which provides very good food at reasonable prices. There were not a lot of tourists when we ate there but a lot of locals. We couldnât get a table outside but it was interesting to eat inside as it has some great drawings on the walls and the decoration was different from the norm. The burgers were tender and juicy and the chips were very good indeed. In some dishes the burgers do not come on buns but that didnât limit our enjoyment of them. However, if you like your burger in a bun, it is worth checking when you order. I also had lime mousse to follow which was tart and sweet at the same time. A great palate cleanser. The service was good even though they were very busy and it is also great value. A definite if you like a good burger and chips.

It does not have seaview, but i enjoyed the seaview with an aperitiv and then went for diner.the restaurant has a nice rural ambient. If you are in the region, this place is a must!!!

Having read the reviews of this restaurant we headed here for dinner on an easy Sunday evening. It wasn't too full but that was fine by us. But we soon discovered that this meant only 1 waitress and she a bit run off her feet. So we didn't worry too much when my large glass of rose was delivered as red wine. It was nice anyway and she was very sweet. But things slowed down and ordering and first course took a while. When it did arrive the first course of the mixed board of meat and cheeses was poor. Other people have liked it but the portion was small for 17 euros and the cheeses were impressively bland. The 8 very thin slices of 2 types of sausages were no better. Of the 2 breads that came with it, one was fresh and nice and one was very stale and stodgy. But the main courses were good. The cod and cockle stew tasted excellent with plenty of it. The pork migas tasted great, although a bit more pork and a bit less migas would have been better. So not a bad meal but let down by the poor starter. At that cost in Funchal I expect a lot better.
