When we checked into the Grand Hotel Swiss Majestic we knew we had to eat at their restaurant with this incredible view. It was a beautiful clear night and the view was tremendous. We started with a salad and had the roast lamb entrée. Both were excellent. For desert we had the pricey but AMAZING dome au chocolat âMajesticâ. As we watch the sunset we had an after dinner drink. This was a dinner to remember. Dear Charley5555,Thank you very much for your so kind review and sharing with me your experience! You canât imagine how helpful and motivated is it. I transfers with very great pleasure your kind marks to our teams and especially to our Chef!I am happy to know you enjoyed your stay in Suisse Majestic and hope to welcome you very soon for another occasion!Warm regards from Montreux,Yana Maillard / Sales Manager& Suisse Majestic team

Chefs Arnaud and Bertrand are glad to welcome you at the new Buffet de la Gare, a historical place with stunning views over the lake. You will be able to indulge at any time of the day in a tasteful and inventive cuisine and a selection of regional wines.
Went back to this adress after it has changed management !And what a change !!!The food is on a local base, excellent products, perfectly cooked, very nice presentation...The wine list, very original, has nothing but local or regional, or related to thr region entries.Perfect wines, white and red, and at quite reasonable price !Of course, the most exclusive are more expensive, but really worth it !The two cooks are very pleasant and have a philosophy of treating you with the best products, changing quite often !We are sure of going back very soon...!And you...? Run...!

Produits de saison, saveurs locales, vins de qualité et vue unique au bord du lac Léman. Un petit coin de paradis où le temps s'arrête.
While hiking on the trail, we had seen this restaurant many times, the setting lovely, near the tennis club with beautiful views. My wife enjoyed a beautifully prepared chicken dish, done to perfection with fresh vegetables and quinoa. The second dish filet de perches which they claimed was fresh, but not from the lake missed. Cooked in too much butter which pooled on the plate was just not great at all, served with potatoes, and a wilted salad because of the butter. The hit of the meal was the desert of dark chocolate sorbet, which was wonderful. When coming into the asking to be seated thirty minutes before closing for lunch we were offered seats far from the front with good views of the mountains and water. We had to ask to be better located. The location rates the highest rating. The food, overall good. The service good.We however would return...
Best International food near Montreux, Canton of Vaud, Switzerland

Without any doubt, the best meal we've had in four weeks in Switzerland. This place is a gem, only 8 months old and producing very fine food. The decor is sophisticated and international. Edison globes, interesting tables, good chairs, great lighting. We were here for Lunch a Sunday. The menu is interesting, not traditional Swiss.Husband had black ink risotto with squid. The squid was charred nicely and the risotto was spot on.I had Chicken and Corn, which sounds ordinary, but the corn came three ways, whole, creamed and popped! The chefs know their stuff, have good ingredients and the courage to be playful. There was a good drinks menu.Staff were friendly and helpful. The other thing to say is that the prices weren't the usual Swiss expensive, but were much more moderate.1820 can be proud of how well they've done in so little time.
