This place was a real find. Serving mussels cooked in every way imaginable it has a busy bistro feel to it.If, like us, you find yourself in the area because you're attending a sporting event at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais make sure you book. It was absolutely rammed following the match, took us an hour to be seated but was worth it. Reasonable price as well.

Simply wonderful food in the little village of Beynost, right by the train station. It's not overly frou-frou cuisine, but carefully made, well-executed, and presented with a solid confidence, no showiness. It's an unpretentious and somewhat utilitarian interior, but Cote Gare's modest decor belies an excellent menu. My colleagues and I were there on a quiet Thursday evening and started off with convivial drinks (a pastis for me) - they offered a nice selection of local brews on tap. For my appetizer, I had a charcuterie selection which contained a large variety of locally cured meats; in all honesty, I couldn't keep track of what was what, but they were all good and the amount was generous enough to share for 2 easily. I followed with a main course of the special that night: truit frais (trout), a meaty slab, grilled to perfection, not at all dry, with a friable, crispy-fatty skin. Simply prepared and simply delicious - the freshness and quality spoke for itself. For dessert, I had a chocolate confection with pralines - again I didn't catch the name - but it was one of the best desserts I've had in a long time: sweet enough but not so much as to be cloying - and a praline that had just enough crunch to complement the creamy chocolate nicely. Nice to know you can get excellent food nearby the industrial zone without having to fight the traffic into Lyon central!

What a lovely, interesting, surprising meal...fantastic ingredients, expertly cooked.... well deserved first spot...highly recommend a visit..Had the six courses, with matched wine....well worth it..not to much food, not to little...my only suggestion is to keep the wine coming...making people wait with empty glasses...Thank you Carmen for your feedback, highly appreciated ! We're pleased to read that you enjoyed your experience at La Mutinerie. Concerning wine pairing, we understand your point of view, it's always a big deal to decide rather to fill your glass up with the wine that follows and matches the next meal when it is not ready to be served, because we're afraid you won't have any wine left to pair it with the meal... But we'll work on that for sure !Hope to welcome you again soon, Best regards,
