Charming restaurant, traditional cuisine ... a restaurant where life is good ! In this beautiful charming 17th and 18th century residence, former annex of the Château de Plaisir, the cook and his wife welcome you to their home to offer you a delicate cuis
This 17th century country house which used to be an apple cider press in the middle of pastures and fields, has been lovingly restored by an enthusiastic French couple and turned into a warm and friendly gastronomic restaurant. I came here by chance on a weekday and had the lunch special. The cream of mushroom soup with a little Parmigian cheese cracker was simply divine. The consistency was close to a mouse so it felt extremely light, but also refined in its elegance. The main course was the chicken breast "Cordon bleu" with tiny potatoes sauteed with herbs. It was a simple dish but masterfully executed and you could feel the generosity of the chef coming through. They have a big gastronomic dinner special on the weekend, which looked really interesting, so I'll be sure to try that one day.A great place to stop on your way to Chartres or any destination west of Paris.Thank you ; we are pleased that you enjoyed the Cordon Bleu du Sud-Ouest, prepared with Bayonne ham and Mancego cheese !

Ren
Difficult trying to find anywhere open on a Sunday but found Leon's of Brussels. Surprised by how nice it was. Very friendly waiter with little spoken English but found us English menus and made us feel very welcome. The food was good although none of us were brave enough to try the speciality of mussels! Would recommend.
