Ate there twice on successive days when in the area with my father, sister and brother in law. Excellent service, friendly and attentive without being over bearing. Good selection of local ales and gins and relatively short but nicely diversified menu. Excellent presentation of the food and good balance of ingredients. Highly recommended.

A two-bar roadside pub and eatery dating from the 17th century with a large stone-built beer garden added to the rear. To the left is a lounge with a separate restaurant offering great traditional British food made with fresh local ingredients. This inclu
Having seen an advert we visited here on the way from Ludlow and discovered a proper country pub, beams, lovely lounge and dining area, and amazing outside area!Nice friendly service from the barman (with the beard), and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent food and a very good selection of beers and ciders. It's just a shame we don't live locally, otherwise we'd visit here regularly.Would certainly recommend here.

Stopped here for a midweek dinner and was glad we did. Food tasted homemade which I am hoping it was as the goats cheese tart with smoked cheddar sauce, beetroot, cabbage and new potatoes was really good, especially the vegetables. Partner had chicken and oregano pie which was crammed full of chicken, with chips, veg and gravy. Everything was hot and really tasty. We shared an ice cream which, if honest was a bit of a let down at 3 tiny scoops, think melon ball size, for £5. However the service was very good and other than dessert, was really good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our evening meal at this very well set out restaurant. very good ambience, good prices and food very flavoursome. The only negative is the very small portion of vegetables with the meal...we had to ask for an extra portion of vegetable...Otherwise very good.Hi mumahen,Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, I'm very pleased to hear you enjoyed your evening with us. I'm sorry you didn't feel like you didn't have enough vegetables, we are alway happy to provide more as needed.Kind regards,Matt

Four of us dined here on Aug 31. Very restrictive menu and poor quantity and quality food. Rather deceptive pricing making the meal pricey for the quantity, beer decent and fair priced. Very noisy dining from the bar area. Will not return, many better âvalue for moneyâ around the area
