The Boundary House is an inviting country pub and restaurant located in the heart of the small West Yorkshire village of Methley. Boasting two separate bar and restaurant areas, The Boundary House's restaurant offers excellent traditional pub food prepare
Went for lunch on the recommendation of a friend. Loved it. Excellent ploughman's lunch each and my wife had a rather deelish lemon and chocolate parfait. I didn't bother with a pud but managed 3 pints of their beautifully kept Timothy Taylors Landlord. Great service from some genuinely friendly and efficient staff plus a rather pleasing medley of Tamla Motown made it all truly enjoyable.

An 18th Century, traditional country inn, The Rockingham Arms sits on the historic site of the Battle of Towton; making it the perfect place to fill up on good food after a lengthy walk around the battlefield. Serving cask ales, artisanal spirits, and awa
Called in here at lunchtime on our journey south and we received a very pleasant welcome. Although the menu we were given bore little relation to the on-line menu we were happy with the limited choice offered. The ham hock terrine with piccalilli was excellent although the 'crostini' was disappointing ,being just two slices of dried out sliced baguette. My wife's prawn cocktail was 'deconstructed', but with a generous amount of prawns bound together with a long strip of cucumber she thoroughly enjoyed it. The chunky chips we shared were well cooked and went well with the two dishes. So, a pleasant surprise in many ways, not least for the pleasant service we received. We will call in again next time we're passing!Hi there Replicant12!Thank you so much for such a great review of our venue! We're really grateful for the comments and feedback and are thrilled you enjoyed your time with us. The business has actually been through some substantial changes recently, which means that our offering has changed slightly and is now more geared towards traditional country pub classics, with a few special menu items on a Friday & Saturday night. Which means that the menu on our old website was probably the one you're referring to? So our sincere apologies if you'd looked at that several weeks ago before coming. We did manage to pop something up some time ago that lets our customers know we're still open, but would need to call to get a copy of the menu, until our new website goes live. So for example, the 'crostini' does actually say 'croute' on our new menu, which is in fact much like toasted bread with a definite crunch to it! Thank you very much for commenting on our service. We aim to please everyone that walks through our doors and we love it when our customers tell us we've made them feel welcome. It makes our jobs worthwhile, so thank you again.Best wishes and we hope to catch you next time,Laura and the team :)
